Unlike sleepy Ron and make something happen GMJR. Dubas has been pretty good at knowing what is needed even with a limiting cap. In the end, what he does with Jake will tell me if he is open to better fits than a small LW who can't help get pucks for Sid. One player at LW who can be that bigger Kunitz type will impact the team far more than Jake.

If things continue like this. theres just no way Sullivan makes it to the end of the season right? How many other coaches get the chance to have 4 straight 1st round exits followed by two playoff misses.
How about have some accountability for the stars

I feel like we'll be asking this question in November of 2024 as well. "How many other coaches get the chance to have 5 straight 1st round exits followed by 3 playoff misses?"

God I hope not. Dubas did pretty much everything he could to the roster. The team should not be going from 1 point out of the playoffs to last place in the Metro.

Stars are mostly playing great. Heck, Sid is performing the worst of them as far as the eye test goes, and he's still pacing for 50g lol.
Not that you are suggesting this, but Sid is indeed pacing for 50g, winning over 60% of faceoffs, and pacing for a career high in hits. I’ve a few people criticize him this year; not sure how warranted it is. Perhaps I have missed the games/times he didn’t look great.

Did you read the second half of my post? I joked that him "not playing well" still has him pacing for 50 goals!

when a bad goalie after a bad season gets rewarded with a long term multi million dollar deal ....... ya get what ya get.
Far as I can see Smith replaced Zucker on top six. Basically a lateral move with no improvement what so ever.

Same goalie. Same coach

Karlsson replaced Petrie
Graves replaced Dumolin

Bottom six name changes - like shuffling deck chairs on the titanic.

As far as opponents go, playing this team is no different to playing last years team.

This is such a Tanner Glass L4.

"It puts the Gladams on its skin or else it gets the loss again"

4th line has been treading water surprisingly, not helping, but not also losing games. The PP is the foremost issue.

?

Also, haven’t seen Acciari hit anyone.

Dude looks like ZAR out there.

I wish for a day we can see all the players that were decent before the Pens, come to the Pens and play for a coach that isn't an ignoramus. Not that I give a shit about Acciari, would have rather kept Hallander etc, but at this point I don't really care about the new players as an issue.

Each line needs at least 1 workhorse flavor winger.

Def not giving odds. You sounded so sure about this. If anyone should get odds its me as the only player in the bottom 6 who have ever put up 12+ more than once is Eller. Having said that, I'm all for betting someone in the bottom 6 hits 12 this year and I'll do it for even money. 5k max for me though.
Who shall we get to hold the cash? I'm good with the 5K. And it is Eller, Carter, Harkins, Nieto, O'Connor and Acciari. The six I mentioned.

Nah....
Forwards:
Smith >> Zucker. I am one who preferred we had kept Zucker, but admit I was wrong.

Goalies:
Jarry < Jarry 2022
Ned > DeSmith

Coach:
Sully (3-6) = Sully (missed playoffs) = Sully (1st round exit) = Sully (1st round exit) = Sully (...)

Defenseman:
EK >> Petry
Graves > Dumo

Lines:
Zoho - Eller - O'Connor >> last year 3rd line.
4th line < 2022 4th line. We don't have any energy guys anymore.

Overall we are better! I do expect some bumps along the way, but not to this level.

team on paper is better this season
team under this coaching staff is not better and never will be. .....Arguably they are worse.
I'll bet my house they don't make the play offs without a major coaching change soon.
