I'm glad it stands to you too Jesse, but any ideas on why your colleagues have started to go blind? Besides the usual self-pollution, anyhow.
"mUh AcCeSs!1!"

Here's where I'm at with Sullivan as a compromise: I think he knows the game well, I think he can be a good coach...just not here anymore. It's time to move on and get fresh blood. That's what is best for the players and the organization.
Point Blank: Mike Sullivan shouldn't be back as Penguins' head coach next season
The head coach who deployed Patric Hornqvist with fourth-line minutes in Game 6 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final has been missing for quite some time.breakdownsandbreakaways.substack.com
I don't even know about this, anymore. I used to say it almost as a reflex "oh he's a great coach just stale, here." In reality he's been an abject failure outside of two seasons. It's just that those two seasons were uh... QUITE noteworthy.
Plus what kind of "great coach" is so stuck up his own ass that he's letting all this *gestures broadly* happen?
Exactly. Sullivan might luck into another job where the team succeeds (like he did with his current job) but he is no "great coach".
He's just an asshole whose ego is out of control because "he" won 2 Cups a couple of light years ago. Whatever talent he may still possess as a coach is not reflected in a single thing he does anymore, and he's not likely to change just because he gets fired -- as if that's ever going to happen.
He's every bit as safe as that other arrogant asshole with the well-below-average IQ who is still a head coach in Pittsburgh despite underachieving massively for many years.
Please prove me wrong about that today, Doobie. If today isn't the day that Bahstun Boy gets the ax, Dubas should resign on the spot because clearly FSG has his testicles in a box on their desk.
Hino, Gruden Zoho SUCK tooHere's what I'd like to see (prob a little crazy)
Sully Gone
Harkins, White, Phillips sent down
Hino, Gruden, Big Z up
Puu - Sid - Rust
Rakell - Malkin - Hino
Smith - Eller - Z
DOC - Gruden - Puljujari
Carter
Swap Acciari with Gruden when healthy.
I know it hasn't happened yet, but here are the cliff notes from the presser.
- Things have not gone as well as we expected.
- We're open to trades that strengthen our team going forward.
- We believe in Mike Sullivan.

I'm still gonna try to watch on the off chance they do ax Sullivan.Everyone might as well just read this and plan something more productive for your afternoon.
I think Sullivan has it in him to be a great coach, but he seems to have gotten pretty far away from what made him great. When he first came here, it was stuff like:
"Play to your strengths"
"Don't force plays, take what the game gives you"
"Put them in the best position to succeed"
He would get into players ears on the bench, encourage them, get players to focus and not get distracted by other players trying to throw you off...
Now he seems to mostly stand behind the bench and shout. The Karlsson stuff which doesn't need further elaboration. If we are to believe what Graves said, the system being a bit complex (which could lead to players not knowing where to go and being out of position). Occasionally hearing from analysts and announcers about players lacking confidence, which didn't use to be the case.
I think if he went elsewhere and kept doing what he is doing now, he will probably struggle there too.
Optional skate. But only 2 players missing, Smith and Carter.
What more proof do we need Smith is sulking and don't want to be here?
Carter might just be old.
You left out the part when someone asks about the PP and Dubas brings out Todd Reirden and makes out with him for 5 minutes.I know it hasn't happened yet, but here are the cliff notes from the presser.

Is there anyone delusional enough to still believe that the window is still open next year? Everyone, except for Sid who made a deal with the devil never to age, will be a year older. And the cupboard is bare. No call ups. No trades. Not enough cap space to make a difference.
If you booked a trip on the Titanic do you care who the Captain who takes over is after they hit the iceberg?
Let's see how Dubas handles the trades this deadline and what he gets. And go from there.
