Accairi blows, has been hurt lately, and also hasn't done much so...

Accairi is most certainly NOT a hill I'm dying on while defending him.
He's defended extremely well at 5v5 and especially the PK. There's no denying that. And we'd be remiss to not tack on any value to his AAV for that.
But still, the problem is that there has to be enough scoring elsewhere in the lineup to accommodate signing players like Acciari. And we don't have enough. The PP sucking is the real reason Acciari's flaws are getting magnified, because we have a big need for depth scoring to make up for this 28th ranked PP. Also, the goalies are playing super well and making up for our below average team offense.

I'd take Hinostroza over Harkins every single day. Over Nieto, over Carter, over White, over Z, and over DOC if Im honest.

You are clueless! Acciari has been in the NHL for awhile Hinostroza is an AHLer
AHL'r with 151 pts in 374 gms, who only got sent down in BUF due to their desire to play youth over true better players (at the time), and sent down here for who knows why. You sound pretty stupid calling him an AHL'r and NOT calling Harkins an AHL'r

My man, it’s a hockey forum to discuss the penguins. We have no control over anything. Not every discussion is “getting worked up,” it’s just a discussion.

No one is frothing over Acciari or Eller or Nieto.

Just like I don’t make a post about Jarry, log off, and go kick my dog. It’s just discussions on a forum. They’re all meaningless.
I wasn't specifically referring to you. I thought you brought up some valid points. I guess my thing is it seems like there's an abundance of negativity directed towards Acciari which I feel is grasping at straws even if he is slightly overpaid. We are all passionate hockey fans or else we wouldn't be here.

Although I definitely think there are people that kick dogs and have holes in the walls

This team is tapped / capped. We have no prospects, no big injuries, no assets, no cap space.

When we’re looking at where 99% of the scoring is coming from, obviously the PP is a huge issue, but the bottom-6 is also a problem, and it’s literally the only area that you can reasonably expect the team to change. You know the top-6 is basically set. They’ll never hurt anyone’s feelings on pp1. That basically leaves the bottom-6. That’s why people are focused on it. It’s the only thing we think can ever change.

We can talk until we’re blue in the face about the pp, line 2’s wingers, the turnovers from our top-2 D, but those slots are all sacred. So what’s the point?

I think there's a pretty strong chance we could trade R. Smith and free up 5 mil. He's unhappy here.

I mean...okay?

They both blow. I guess in a vacuum Acciari might be a little bit better. His contract is far worse. If they were making the same money, no one would care.

It's not like either are actively helping us win games.

The bottom 6. It’s like Groundhog Day every year since 2018.

Link?

There likey is no truth to that rumor. He said he seen it somewhere on Twitter.

I can see him being traded because he hasn't been a great fit but Reilly Smith has been a professional pretty much his whole career. Hes not one to be a team cancer and isn't outspoken.

He's had a rough go these last couple of months. When things aren't going your way, it's easy to be unhappy and want out.

Our record would incidate no.

Not hard to be a "great PK'er" and get saddled with D-zone starts.

I like Acciari, I like Vinnie and I like Harkins...there I said. Each of them could be part of a very succesful L4, the bigger problem is a friggin anchor on that L4, and coaching...still L4 is like problem No.55 on our list of issues.

I was confused why Hino was even signed

Acciari i was very excited about. He's been a disappointment, only in that I expected more. He was a real spark when he was out here with STL. I'm not even talking points. Just energy.

He's been OK. But he should be better than OK at his role.

Harkins. Lol
