I don't know. People blame the personnel and then that changes, people blame the coaches and that changes... you'd think it would start working eventually.

I'm pretty sure Jagr put a voodoo hex on the powerplay when Sather ran him out of town or something.

Or that Jagr was the last dominant PP player we've had. We haven't had anyone like Nylander since then, either.

I think the bigger problem with the powerplay are (not in order)

1. Faceoffs
2. Inability of the pointmen to handle the puck. Way too many times we (rarely) win the faceoff back or pass back to them and they fumble it and it goes out of the zone and just like that 30 seconds is gone
3. Zone entries.

The jury is still out for me on Nash. He leads the playoffs in shots. Either he has forgotten how to snipe or he has the worst luck right now. He needs to shoot the puck with some damn conviction.

What are the constants through all the horrid power plays? Lundqvist, the fans and Sather. What do you think is the answer.

Yup, he has had another brutal game. Worst defense man during the post season IMO.

Can't just blame McDonagh though. He is just one of many of our stars underperforming (Nash, MSL) and key players (MZA) have been underwhelming as well.

I thought all of those guys (sans McD) were good in the Philly series, though. The Pens series is the polar opposite.

Yea we do. We don't deserve Hank, but a decent amount of our fan base actually thinks talbot is a better goalie. This fan base hates it's own team. Literally they **** on everyone except Zucc and Carcillo. They absolutely deserve this
