Habs fan here. Congrats on landing Karlsson. Should be treat to watch such a talent for 4 years. I envy you guys...
I was wondering about Petry. I didn't get to watch him much in Pittsburgh last year. It sounds like fans and management weren't happy with his play. He did produce at a 40+ points pace per 82 games. So I was wondering what the problems were with his play?
sully neutered him.Habs fan here. Congrats on landing Karlsson. Should be treat to watch such a talent for 4 years. I envy you guys...

Addendum, for the record: Errey is like 4x the color commentator Bourque is. I like the Ol’ 29er as a person, but he’s pretty mediocre.
Also lol this is a picture the team has already:

Petry was fine, many on this board keep a big what have you done for me lately take on players. Hell look at what Matheson has done for you. I told others to be patient with him and he got better every season with us as he got more comfortable with the system....... look at what he's doing with you.Habs fan here. As a fan of the sport just look at those name, I know its not 10 years ago but these guys can all play at a high level stillSo who goes to the ASG? Karlsson, Letang, Crosby, Malkin? too many names.
If the season goes how I personally want it to, Sid and EK make it.So who goes to the ASG? Karlsson, Letang, Crosby, Malkin? too many names.
I can't wait to hear him say he's excited to play with Sid/Geno.
Hockey players are boring off ice but exciting on ice!
EK65 has some personality and swagger that we desperately need.

Petry might be a 1-1.5 mil overpaid at this point in his career but last season the injuries and not having a steady partner didn't allow him to show his full potential. Keep in mind our defense (all of them) were injured at different points in the season so the pairing were a mess.
Some games Petry looked really good other he left a lot to desire.
I do like his game and he is still a very solid D-Man in the NHL
Yes, I like Petry. But he can be funny some times when he gets a new partner or not the right partner for his style. Every player has their strengths and weaknesses. I would say that problem adapting is one of Petry's weaknesses.Petry was fine, many on this board keep a big what have you done for me lately take on players. Dudes a winner that's sick of losing. That alone will be fun to see.Yeah. It's been talked about a little already but even just the idea of a move like this should fire the team up. Plus he's definitely a personality and obviously seems very motivated to finally win. He's not gonna be happy with a lot of the flaccid, "whatever" stale approach we saw much of last year and his lofty place in the game will command respect.
