lazy dubas took 2 months to rob the sharks instead of doing it immediatelyNo, I think he's just having a really hard time coming up with a nickname.

Just thinking about that 3rd '26 SJS sent our way in the deal. That overall pick # is not going to be that far off from the 2nd '25 we sent to Montreal.
Zucker's scoring was "fine", and I agree Smith is about equivalent, but his playmaking and defense is a big step up. Geno needs defensive support on his line.My thing is I felt it was a lateral move at best losing Zucker and getting Smith in the scoring department. We can argue that all day but the fact is it's minimal either way.
Karlsson wipes that all out as he creates more offense then anyone we could have brought in and makes everyone on our offense better.
Only thing we are lacking now is some forecheck and bite
Just to enhance your point, Hamaliuk is probably close to Legare as far as prospects go (which isn’t saying much). Now think of it in better terms.
A 2nd for a 3rd swap.
Then Legare might not even be a B prospect. Guy probably never makes the NHL and if he does it will be 4th liner.
Even a digruntled Kessel, with the Pens as the only suitor cost 1st+Kapanen+Harrington. Somehow Dubas dumped a bunch of money AND got EK for only a 1st. Truly spectacular jobJust to enhance your point, Hamaliuk is probably close to Legare as far as prospects go (which isn’t saying much).
he's refusing to reportHas there been any response from Karlsson yet?
DETAILS, ALLWAYS DETAILS!
Has there been any response from Karlsson yet?
Yeah but that's a biggun.
Where's super reporter Rob Rossi when you need him?
Welcome to the nightmare. Your next reality check will be when you realize we have no physical defensemen left and our goalie likes to get targeted and injured.Wait, I just thought of something. Is Ruhwedel now our regular 3RD? Karlsson in, but both Petry and Rutta out.
Did we sign any other RD? Graves is LD and both Smith and POJ are lefties (though both can play RD).
Rutta and Petry were hurt, sometimes at the same time. Jarry is going to get head shotted and Karlsson will be at the other end of the rink lost without the puck. The goaltenders were injured last season WITH Rutta, though.
I just don't see the Rutta some other people do, I guess.
I checked CF but there's nothing - the 1st is top 10 protected. Were any details given about what it falls back to if the 1st is in the top 10? Revert to 2025, revert to a 2nd, ...nothing at all?The Penguins didn't even manage to lose out too badly on picks, yeah. The first being top ten protected is probably not necessary (I hope) but still nice.
This is obviously a bit of hyperbole (and not entirely fair to Petry) but even if EK is injured most of next year... considering the contracts this team got out of and their likely non-impact on the roster it's not even that huge a deal.
it will become a 2025 1st, non protected if i understood it right.I checked CF but there's nothing - the 1st is top 10 protected. Were any details given about what it falls back to if the 1st is in the top 10? Revert to 2025, revert to a 2nd, ...nothing at all?

I was just thinking to myself about how funny it is that none of the local guys were like "hey this thing's picking up, trade seems imminent" before the Karlsson move.
At least, as far as I know. I don't pay attention to any of 'em anymore.
Not sure but his Twitter banner was updated quickly.Has there been any response from Karlsson yet?
I see he’s already had to drive through the squirrel hill tunnel based on his tweet about an annoying and frustrating experience.

Personally would have preferred to throw a pick or prospect in, to get more retention and Ruh over Rutta.
I feel that. I often take Forbes or Commercial instead.I see he’s already had to drive through the squirrel hill tunnel based on his tweet about an annoying and frustrating experience.
