Your word candy doesn't make it better. You're the one that has been crying the team is going no where but, you love 4 years at 11.5. Maybe a bit of self reflection on your babble may help.
It's $10 million AAV because the Sharks retained $1.5 million a year. Also, who gives a shit? The team's spinning its tires in mud for half a decade and that ain't changing, and it's not like it's your money you dork ass nerd.

EK has been my favorite non Pens player to watch for the whole cap era. This is an amazing day.

He’s not this good anymore but; the 2017 playoff Karlsson is the best player the Pens have gone up against in a playoff series. 08-09 Zetterberg and 09 Ovi are right behind him.

I always liked him but that series against the Sens when he did what he did on one leg was ridiculous and put him at another level in my mind.

I actually like Legare, but the fact that the Pens get EK65 and Legare is the only player that the Pens gave up that has a potential NHL future (Petry is trending down , still quality for a couple seasons) its amazing. Yes there isn't much retention on Karlson and they retained on Petry, but barring an injury this defense is way better than what was iced last season and last season was supposed to be better than the season prior. Now just control Letang and Karson's minutes and then Pens are a serious threat.

You are such a disappointment. It's 11.5 because they had to retain on Petry brainiac. Now if you have a legitimate argument I will listen. You're right it's not my money but, it's very poor asset management when cap space is the most important thing these days. Your name fits you perfectly. Enjoy the 70 points for 11.5.

Rutta brought a different element but at 33 his best hockey was behind him. I was scared that he was going to drop off this season and then they'd have to pay to move him.

What? I am very happy with this trade. I was just hoping Karlsson would come in at a bit cheaper.

I expected them to pay more for more retention.
I also wish it came with more retention. But considering that Granlund and Petry combine for the same $10mil cap hit I have no complaints.

****ing right.

Who knows if this works like we hope, but this is how you go out swinging.

Damned right.

I'll just never understand the people who want to meekly lay back and collect half-shit draft picks while Crosby is still around. I feel like these people are the ones that just flip the board and storm off when they aren't doing well halfway through a chess match.

Finish the game for good or for ill ya salty bastards.

wtf is the 2 throw ins for? taking up contract slots.
And now we are suddenly WEAK at the right side? Both Pery and ruutta gone?
The Pens just got the reining Norris winner who just so happens to be a RD who will actually be the Pens #2 RD and you think the Pens RD is weaker because Petry and Rutta are gone? I'm confused. Sure the #3RD isn't anything special, but whoever fills the role will be capable of handling the ~10mins a night they will play. The LD is stronger than it's been in a long time. Barring a long term injury to Letang or Karlsson this D is way better.
