Yeah, I mean it's hard to expect too much in a trade where Karlsson is the big fish but as you point out, he provides what Granlund did at 20% the cost so it's hard to complain.

Excellent comparison. I'm trying to understand the kind of mental lift this is going to give to Geno, Sid, and Letang. Like, everyone is talking about how last year's performance was an aberration and that the three of them are ready for the retirement home as the Penguins circle the drain.

Well, what does a 100pt reigning Norris winner tell that locker room? Kessel was in his prime when we snatched him, but someone as good as EK has the same kind of cachet.

I hope this day is going to be remembered in the same breath as the Kessel, Coffey and Francis trades. The spark that ignited this team back to the top.
