I actually find it hilarious reading this thread compared to supporters of a sports club (I even find more insight from opponents conversing over there than from you lot buying entertainment). Sports fans surely discuss criticism but here we are watching a forum imploding on itself. Angry customers buying entertainment. You're not thinking as sports fans.

This is pathetic to read. After 19 pages you have nothing more to bring to the table than: Basically everyone is useless, there should be beheadings, you know the drill.

It's actually hilarious how useless this forum is at having nothing more to be given as constructive than: "He was bad, he is useless, he doesn't work, he's good, etc..." That's basically 80% of all messages and if the team is struggling, get your seat belt. And with no actual arguments to actually find the beginning of a cohesive thought instead of an irrelevant opinion, usually. "I like vanilla icecream." Ok? This isn't a voting poll.

I mean, is this twitter or a privilege at writing at a forum? How about some perspective, at any point beyond the simplest of shallow conclusions? I've tried to find some quality posts in this mess, not much luck yet and to be honest, I just gave up. If there's anything relevant to respond to, it drowned in the shit mess.

Stop panicking like toddlers, will you? Think a step ahead or five before you post. You have no excuse as a fanbase to claim you're drunk this far in after the game.

Take a paper bag, breathe in it for 10 seconds and then think of the player you're murdering. Then you think of something else in combination of something you're already thinking of. Then you can connect more dots and maybe bring something interesting to a discussion. It's not rocket science.

NYR is trailing 2-1 in the playoffs as the 3rd youngest team in the league and you're crying like your parents just got murdered. That's nothing yet but you seem to have mailed it in in terms of spirit, lasting shorter than opening of a can of beer being served to an alcoholic.

That's the kind of support a NHL team gets from their spoiled, frailed "fans" (paid customers), eh? You seem much more interested in something to dislike and hate than anything else from my perspective supporting an actual sports team and that's just sad and I guess a consequence of living in a mega city. You're born to complain and ventilate about things that aren't the sources of your expressed pain.

And you NEVER lift the roof in the arena even if your team is struggling. You don't get it, at all, the whole point of supporting a sport. You're not fans, you're customers. So why should I speak with 80+% of you if you think you're currently in customer support?

Igor burnt out after three playoff games? Sorry, but if true, that’s an Igor problem, not a team problem.

All that effort to come back and tie it…just to come out with that effort in the 3rd?

“Captain” Kreider’s line has done jack shit to get this team going. All momentum comes from Artemi’s line and the kid line. Can’t have some of your best players half assing it. Not good enough.
So do they sell high on Kreider this summer?

Replace Nemeth with Jones. Rock Jones and Schneider and shelter the minutes.

It’s the playoffs. You don’t need to rotate all lines and pairings.

I don't know why we think Jones is the answer.

He's very promising but was pretty poor in his limited NHL minutes this year.

They're going to break him in slowly starting next season.

Hajek is the guy you're much more likely to see.

The answer isn't so much Jones, rather than getting Nemeth off the ice. At least 3 of those goals last night were directly or indirectly due to his incompetence. If Jones can at least be somewhat ok, that is already a million times better than Nameth.

Jones>Hajek, and it's not even a fair debate.

My hope is that Braun-Schneider becomes the bottom pair when Lindgren returns.

No, I agree that they have intestinal and mental fortitude. But they're too cute trying to accomplish things that sometimes require brute force. Not enough jam.
You’re right but that’s because for whatever reason, the playoffs and the regular season are two different animals. Whatever is successful in the regular season doesn’t always translate to the playoffs.
It’s really too bad the nhl won’t stop the little hooks and holds that some teams have as part of their game plan, so the talent can skate and really open up offense.

I personally wouldn't. It's only a couple games. Would be silly to make that decision because of that. He and Zibby just need to get with it here and start creating more chances.
Yeah I know but it’s frustrating to watch Kreider does not even consider hitting anybody. Zibs not having laser focus.
Drury did make awesome deadline deals so I’m look forward to seeing/hearing what his thoughts are regarding e we what’s taking place on the ice.

Would love to see Reaves jump somebody on his first shift and set the tone quickly
I would have loved to have seen that last night to give them something to think about....instead we have a team of priests and all of them are unwilling to bump Crosby . They don't mind bumping Shesty-Panarin and Fox .

I was hopeful Braun would be the upgrade on Nemeth. Instead, GG scratched him down the stretch. Then hopeful for Jones who played well in the game he got and could actually make a pass to exit the zone. But nah. Lindgren hurt only makes it worse.

For a guy who’s supposed to be a defensive d-man, Nemeth is not very good at it.

Move on from this game. Didn’t get the bounces and it left Domingue looking great. Just bad luck with the bounces, and those penalties early on set the tone.

Our top guys need to start playing. I’ve seen nothing from Trouba, and Mika only pops in when he feels like it. There’s $16.5 million spent right there with very little return.

K’Andre is stepping up, and Fox has been good but still looks off—wouldn’t be surprised to hear he’s been nursing an injury.

Series is far from offer, but the fluctuations between playing with energy for one period and then just standing around because they’re gassed isn’t going to get us anywhere.

It’s a young team, but it’s the kids who are playing the best hockey so far.
Yep, Braun can’t skate anymore

Not a very good goalie either....poor effort on the ENG LOL.....Put Hajek in...at least he can skate and carry the puck some . While I'm on the D side of things.....Fox and Leetch should never be mentioned in the same sentence or paragraph and Tony DeAngelo would have looked some nice on those 3 PP chances we had .

I still think we can win . We need guys to man up .

This was the most aggravating game I've watched probably in my life. I don't even say this from a NYR fan perspective. Everything about this game was trash. Literally everything.

First you have the ref waving off the first goal. They talk about it, huddle up, and again confirm no goal.

THEN THEY DECIDE TO GO TO VIDEO AND f***ING CALL IT A GOAL?! YOU JUST SAID TWICE IT WAS NO f***ING GOAL HOW MANY TIMES ARE YOU GONNA f***ING LOOK AT IT

Then the penalty call on Braun. My god, what a penalty call that was. It kicked off a sequence of events that lead to an absolute circus act from both teams. The Pens PP is garbage, PK1 does an awesome job. Their PP2 gets out there and gets not one but TWO flukey ass goals to take the lead. I don't even think they had a shot on either PP from their top unit until they scored.

Then. THEN. Schneider gets wiped by Boyle, they come back the other way and score. How in the ever living f*** are you gonna call Braun for that shit and then not call Boyle for tripping on Schneider. Leads directly to a call.

Just like.. the inconsistency, the bad officiating, the way the goals happened, everything about this game was infuriating to watch. Just bush league all around.

Then Igor gets pulled which I was in favor of because the game was essentially over and he needs the rest after that bullshit OT3 we had to play when we got jobbed on the Kakko goal. And I f***ing knew it. I knew that we were gonna tie it up, that he'd make a couple decent saves and then late in the third absolutely take a shit all over the crease. Texted someone exactly that before it even happened. And lo and behold, he's doing his stupid f***ing reverse VH bullshit that no NHL goalie has done for the last 10 years and lets a shot ON THE ICE slip 5 hole. A butterfly f***ing goalie getting beat underneath... in the NHL.. not from a lateral play.. from straight on.

The team was done after that. They'd had enough and they straight up quit. And our PP wasn't terrible, just didn't execute well.

We'll still win this series, Igor will come back in game 4 and blank them. Their PP sucks, their PK sucks, we just can't get out of our own f***ing way. We're beating ourselves more than the Pens are beating us. But holy shit was this game painful in so many ways
I’ll say this until judgment day, Vegas rules the land no team can recover from what the refs do to change the spirit of the game.
Does anybody notice that the games Pittsburgh wins are usually decided have way through the first period? Players have to be so mentally strong withstand call after call against them. It just takes the life of ya. Wish I could skate great because when that kind crap happens, I get mad and start trying lay people out. Rangers on the other hand, are scared shitless that another penalty out of left field comes against them. Any confidence is then lost.

I think Fox is better at even strength than on the power play.

Maybe one day Jones surpasses him but he’s good, not great as a PPQB.

It’s Fox’s two way play at even strength that makes him a Norris candidate level defenseman. Kreider, Zibby, Panarin are in my eyes the big parts of what make our pp dangerous.

1. Anyone blaming Georgiev for that loss is an utter moron.
2. Might have been Shesterkin's worst game as a Ranger. While I think he'll have a great career, those who have already anointed him as better than Lundquist are nuts. Lundqvist was a monster in the playoffs. That said, Shesty has only had one bad game, so hopefully it's a one-off.
3. Nemeth really comes up small, often. Wish they'd give Jones a shot. Not sure how it would work out, but I think it's worth a look.
4. People popping off on Zibs are dead wrong. That line is getting lots of high quality chances.
5. The biggest difference in the series so far is that only one team has Crosby, and Guentzel is insanely effective.
6. Truly surprised that Pittsburgh is totally pounding the Rangers with almost nothing going the other way. Very disappointed about that.
7. Reaves had one period this series where he totally outplayed what I thought he was capable of. Since then, what happened to him? Zucker is a wrecking ball and those who assured me that that wouldn't happen with Reaves in the lineup still don't understand deterrence doesn't exist. Apparently, neither does retaliation. But Reaves has a great smile.
8. Strome has been one of their best forwards. He's elevated his game. Not too many Rangers have done similarly.
9. So many times in the last 20 years the Rangers have been outplayed and won because of goaltending. The pendulum sometimes swings in the other direction, now.
10. Goodrow is missed in games like this.
11. Motte would be such an asset in this series.
12. Gallant is not being outcoached. Only one coach gets Crosby.
13. I still believe the Rangers will win the series.

If you don't want to keep Shesterkin, you don't let him walk. You trade him.
Love everything but 4&13.

If people are blaming this loss on Geo, not sure what to say. Guaranteed if Shesty let that soft goal in , this place would be blaming it on the defense and saying it’s not Shesty’s fault.

I love you guys but sometimes some of your are over the top with the hatred and negativity on certain players and with the team overall.

I think it's fair to remember the only reason the Rangers placed ahead of Pitts in the standings is the inhuman winter Shesterkin put up. In normal circumstances, we're probably a wildcard team.

I'm okay with losing the series. We had to start somewhere. And I think they've done some really good work against a team that has nearly 1000 individual games of playoff experience and 6 or 7 players that have won at least 2 cups.

Just hope it lasts a lil longer.

It comes back to Chris Drury …

We need it two defensemen at the deadline not one…

Braun was a decent add has we landed deHaan …. Leddy … Chariot etc…

We needed an upgrade for Nemeth and an insurance policy for Schneider.

Right now we’re relying on Schneider to play Dan Girardi minutes … he can’t buy beer .

Sheer lunacy
