I thought Vatrano was the weak link in the top six coming into the series, and he’s been great, that was an unreal trade by Drury, even as a pure rental.
I still hate the line he's on.

All of our volume shooters together so they can have weird chemistry and none of our other lines shoot.

How does Gerogiev get an F but Shestyorkin gets a C-?

Georgiev stopped 19 of 20 while Shestyorkin stopped 11 of 15

Theres no need to hate on Georgiev because the game didnt go their way. He most certainly did his job tonight
Yes. I am very happy with AG. He held the fort and gave the team a chance.

Through 3 games, who am I supposed to hate in the top six, I love Kreider and Mika, but it’s been brutal for them.

It’s a shame too that Gallant rides and dies with five players when he’s got a kid line having the playoffs they’re having so far. He does realize they can start a PP, right? Other night he says he doesn’t realize how they played 10 minutes. Sound familiar? Just like how Vigneault lost Skjei and Smith in that Ottawa series. He trusts those five to win or lose him way too many games with the PP and he paid the price tonight.

You win in this league with dominant offensive forward talent.

We invested heavily on D and then accelerated the rebuild before we had enough young scoring forwards or literally any young centers of note.

Yeah, it still should have been wait till next year, but the owner got impatient.

It is staggering and the most Ranger luck / thing ever that even when we get a 1st overall for the first time since Moses was a boy (which followed a 2nd overall), we are still unable to draft a franchise or even star first line C.

I am not saying for a minute we made the wrong picks, it is just uncanny how that can happen and we still manage to not come away with something for our biggest organizational need - something we seem to have not had in the last twenty five years.

I dont know why y’all are complaining. We are still going to win the series.
Yea okay. Screening this. Pens aren’t losing game four, and not for nothing, they deserve to lose this series as a wake up call. And you know what, a game and comments from a guy like Kreider tonight is another reason he isn’t wearing a C.

I don't blame him for trusting a PP that was 2nd in the league. They had some good looks too but their goalie made some great saves. It is what it is. The 2nd PP unit doesn't generate nearly enough chances anyway and a critical game 3 is not the time to experiment with the PP.

Mika Zibanejad has shown he can be a dominant C when he wants to be. Fans in here complaining about drafting Laf and Kakko and not a franchise C. Aho and Mika are very good 1C’s for their teams. Who is their 2? Trocheck? Let’s stop acting like we are living in the days of Stepan as 1C. Zibanejad has to step the **** up. Enough is enough. I know there’s certain guys nobody will ever criticize but come on.

BTW, that third period looked horrible only because Georgiev gave up a patented GARBAGE Georgiev goal. As soon as Pittsburgh took the lead the team was done. f*** you Georgiev. I hope you f***ing become a dishwasher in McDonald's after the season.
Imo they looked off in the third before that goal. A lot of missed passes, failed breakouts and so on.

Tough crowd in the PGT.

Definitely a disheartening game, but I don't think it was a disaster... The pens got some very weird goals off of bounces in the first.

We'll tie the series Monday. This was never likely to be a short series one way or the other: if Shesterkin wasn't God for four months this year, Pittsburgh easily finishes ahead of us and are the heavy favorites.

The Rangers haven't played their best hockey yet. They may not get there--and some of that is coaching, some of that is Zibanejad cutting out his Rick Nash impression--it might not come together. But OTOH, I don't think Pittsburgh has another gear and certainly they're due some bad luck of their own.

Shesterkin gets some extra rest and hopefully that helps him. The team loses 7-4, letting up 4 in a first period, and hopefully that helps them dial in. I think Vally was spot on. The Rangers have been successful playing a suffocating, low-event game.

Why aren't Pens losing game four? Are they that much better than the Rangers? They were lucky as shit tonight. Most people thought the game was over at 4-1 also. I think the Rangers have a good shot at tying up the series.

I was hopeful Braun would be the upgrade on Nemeth. Instead, GG scratched him down the stretch. Then hopeful for Jones who played well in the game he got and could actually make a pass to exit the zone. But nah. Lindgren hurt only makes it worse.

For a guy who’s supposed to be a defensive d-man, Nemeth is not very good at it.

Move on from this game. Didn’t get the bounces and it left Domingue looking great. Just bad luck with the bounces, and those penalties early on set the tone.

Our top guys need to start playing. I’ve seen nothing from Trouba, and Mika only pops in when he feels like it. There’s $16.5 million spent right there with very little return.

K’Andre is stepping up, and Fox has been good but still looks off—wouldn’t be surprised to hear he’s been nursing an injury.

Series is far from offer, but the fluctuations between playing with energy for one period and then just standing around because they’re gassed isn’t going to get us anywhere.

It’s a young team, but it’s the kids who are playing the best hockey so far.

Mika our #1 center. Even Strome been better.
5v5 play Vatrano is the driving force on that line. Lazy vets smh.
