The Sharks board is depressing. I kind of feel bad for them. Almost.

It's also telling that there still seems to be this aversion to holding Thornton/Marleau accountable. One guy actually said something like "Thornton/Marleau will never lift the Cup because of Pavelski and Burns."

Like what.

When we go down 3-0 in a series we want Brown traded, Sutter fired, and Williams tarred and feathered.

That organization/fan base has coddled Thornton and Marleau for years and it's a problem. It's time to cut the cord on those two.

Look who steps up with the Kings - Kopitar, Doughty, Quick, even Brown. The leaders. It starts there. They don't seem to be able to understand that.

Got Morrissey at The Observatory on Thursday so I'm in a pickle. Bam! Buy the last two seats together for Game 1 at $150 a piece so I can sell my Game 3 tickets and basically swap games.

And I sure as HELL don't want them winning squat at the expense of the Kings. Ever. Never. Ever.

While he hasn't been on the scoresheet, he's the type of glue you need in the post season.

I've been lurking these boards since 2006 or so and barely ever post, but I'm compelled to say how much I love this damn team. It may be the Franziskaner, but I've been a Kings fan since '87 and few moments have topped this one. The next couple weeks are going to be a dream come true beating the damn Ducks or my worst nightmare as the Ducks are BY FAR my most hated team in any sport. Also, much respect to the Sharks fans in this thread that come in peace. I'm not sure I could have that much class. GO KINGS!!!! :yo::yo:

Lost in all this is that we basically manhandled them IN the Shark Tank two games in a row.

I am wondering why we "Mulligan'd" the the first two games. Really.

I've been wondering that too, of course. You gotta believe that a group of them had something. Our defense was nonexistent which is definitely not typical. I wonder about Quick specifically because while the first games were in no way on his shoulders, it seems like he didn't actually show up til game 3. I wonder if he was sick with whatever also, or if the first hard run and head snack from Smith rattled him physically, or just emotionally.

When they started to build it was on all cylinders. The D stepped up and started clearing pucks and taking away chances, we were much stronger in the neutral zone which is an obvious result of superior coaching, and Quick started to get hotter and hotter. The offense has been nice too, getting a good mix of points from the vets and the kids.

It's gonna be a good year guys, feels like they're still just building.

Edit: has Sutter worn that tie the last 4? I know it's been 3 at least.

which is why I can never hate the Sharks fan base. They are such a great bunch of people, the majority of them at least. I hate their damn team with a passion. But their fans are just a real good bunch. Top 5 for sure.
