Mike Richards was something else tonight. Even though he didn't bury on some quality chances, the guy was possessed in hounding the puck and making sure the puck stayed out of his end of the ice.

This was one of the most inspiring individual efforts I've seen a player put forth on this team with his play away from the puck, sacrificing his body, getting into scraps (like he did in Game 6), and setting a physical tone that made his line a tough matchup against the Sharks. His line was buzzing today and I see why Sutter had him out there so much tonight.

He had a great shot block toward the end too. His hands may have slowed down but at he had an inspirational effort tonight.

Mike Richards showed tonight why he will not be bought out or traded. He may not be on the score sheet, but he lead by example from the moment the puck dropped. Such a great leader.

Anyone who doesn't consider him apart of this teams core is insane.

I love everyone right now. Party time

Party time indeed!

omg omg ogm just got home from the game!!!

so many kings fans, **** the SAP center that place is a joke i saw so many kings fans being hassled by security. They let you text to a certain number and then say your section and security shows up to watch your area.

20 seconds left the game is 4-1 and i got yelled at by some guy 3 rows back telling me to sit down and when i turned around to give him the finger there was security on me and making me leave my seat saying i was disturbing the other fans.

so glad they all had to go home losers...you are next duck fans :yo:

So, doesn't that make guys that have played multiple game 7s beyond this team like Richards, Williams, Gaborik, et. al. undefeated in game 7s? That's incredible.

As I was walking out on game 3 from Staples, one tall, bearded Sharks fan was yelling at the top of his lungs "Go Kings Go!" His fat girlfriend was beaming at him. Most of us ignored him, but one elderly gentleman wanted to go after him. I told the guy "just let him be, he's a moron."

I sure would like to see how that guy is reacting now. Betcha he ain't yelling "Go Kings Go!" :)

@Real_ESPNLeBrun 2h
Standing near Kings room. Kings players over the moon as they come off the ice. "This building is quiet now baby!" yelled one Kings player

You can't put a price on how much that means, how much weight that carries and you can measure that fire in their eyes. Every time they showed Richards or Williams close up, you could see the intensity and utter resolve burning in their eyes.

Great series guys. You were classy and humble throughout, so I should be too. No excuses, the Kings were the better team.

Although the games got heated I can admire and respect many things about your team. Enjoy round 2 (and beyond?)! :)

This f ing team.

Anybody else catch a glimpse of Gaborik on the bench near the end? He had a look on his face like Flounder from Animal House "Oh boy, is this GREAT!"

Someone needs to YouTube CBCs last 5 minutes of the game. The directing is outstanding. Shots of Doug Wilson, Sharks dejected, Quick after Browns goal banging his glove on his helmet... Some outstanding TV there.

I need this!!!
