Now we know the strategy taking place this year:
In 2012, the Kings went up 3-0 in all of their four Series.
In 2014, the Kings will go down 0-3 in all of they four Series.

Random but I didn't know Toffoli was handsome until I saw his Post Game Interview.
Richards had a good game, he deserved the ice time.
It's just so much of a better situation when they have him on 4th line and he is matched up against lesser competition, it becomes a strength for the Kings. It worked earlier in the year and then Sutter for some odd reason moved him back up with Carter, which hasn't worked in a long time.
Richards doesn't have it most games, so just keep him on 4th line and then if he does have a strong game you can play him in more situations. My biggest issue was how much Sutter tried to force him into the 2nd line role, Mike Richards is no longer a 2nd line player in the NHL, but atleast through this season he can be a valuable member of the Kings bottom six.

I noticed that Mike Brown had 3:38 of ice time ......for a guy who's primary role is to be a goon, he's VERY good at it! The amount of time Bob & Jim talk about him, you'd swear he was out there for half the game!!!!
Actually, in this game, Sutter was trying to match Richards up against Thornton which he did pretty successfully; about 11-12 minutes of Thornton's 21 minutes was spent facing Richards. Thornton ended up with a +- of -2 and no points. pPobably just an anomaly on Richards' part though.
I like Sutter but man you're preaching to the choir! I was telling anybody and everybody who'd listen to me the exact same thing. Is it too much to dream tha Babcock gets fired and comes aboard in L.A.?A win is a win and I will take it but that was an embarrassment that I hope leads to our finding a different coach in the offseason.
We knew bloody well that the least minute of the game was going to be goonfest 2014 but that "there's no place for anger in hockey" grandmother puts players on the ice that aren't all capable of handling themselves in those situations.
What a bunch of crap that was.
Sutter lost a ton of respect from me tonight. Not that it matters even the tiniest of bits but to me, that was just pathetic.
Happy we won some great performances and everyone played like they understood what tonight was all about but F Sutter.

Honestly, who is he going to put out there? Nolan was scratched. Clifford is our only other tough guy.
I'm not sure what either of you want in a situation like that.
Brown, King, Regher, Lewis (maybe!), Pearson (he's got size), Muzzin, Carter (he's tall at least).......
Regher was out there. No way you put Kopi or Carter out there, why would you do that? What if they break a hand throwing a punch. I don't know Pearson but I don't want to lose his speed for any part of a game.
Brown isn't really a fighter. Maybe I see King and/or Lewis, but Muzzin? I think you are stretching. This team is big but they are not really into fighting.
Brown with a beasting physical game outside of the offence with the puck
Regehrs best contribution in a Kings jersey comes after the final horn of a game. Love it
Thornton is doing nothing in road playoff games, as usual. This guy is truly the definition of "homer." Who can forget his absolute no-show against the Kings last season in game 7? So many Sharks seem to only play hard in front of their home crowd. They can't seem to get it together in the playoffs on the road. They got a couple of fluky goals in game 3 and that is truly the difference in this series now.
Hopefully the Kings can make it competitive in San Jose, where they have been clearly outclassed. They really need to get their **** together up there, at least take one and extend this series.
You absolutely right but, trust me, nobody wants to fight with Carter. I can only remember him fighting once when he was in Philly and he cleaned some guy's clock (quick fists). Can't remember any others after that- word gets around.
