I hate to say this, but for the long term success of this franchise, something like this was completely needed.

I don't think it was only the fan base that had this ridiculous notion that this team, and certain players on it would just flip some mythical switch and turn it around come playoff time. This team has had massive holes all year, holes that weren't exploited by average teams but were going to be exploited again by elite teams. Like someone said earlier, Chicago put out the playbook on how to beat the Kings, and teams are just going to copy it.

The Kings need to get faster on the blue line and more skilled up front to be able to compete with the elite teams in the league. Having guys like Mitchell, Regehr, Greene, Richards, Williams and King playing key roles is not going to get this team another championship.

I look forward to the significant changes that will surely come this summer, it was a great ride for some guys on this team, but the Kings need to build their team with 2015 in mind, not 2012.

Seven goals in two periods for a team that is built on defense will definitely be the final nail for major changes.

I agree with that.

The side that seems a bit hopeless is that it's exposing the coach too. And he probably ain't going anywhere.

Our system has not changed in 2 years since winning the cup. It's like computers, one everyone sees the best others quickly dissect them , sees what makes them click, then provide ways to make there product superior. Sutter is using a 2012 Mac in a 2014 world. Without upgrades and tweaks you get outdated fast.

Also stop resigning guys like Lewis/Clifford.

DONT GET ME WRONG, I love Lewis's effort, but may god you need to score in the bottom six.

AT LEAST 25 to 30 points in an 82 game season.

Absolutely, it's time to move on from 2012 it was an amazing run, but how can we keep using it as an excuse when things fall apart 2-3 years later?

And to think I thought putting Greene back in was a good idea back in the 1st period :biglaugh:

Sutter will be Dean Lombardi's last coach, If Sutter is gone, Lombardi has been fired.

Also.....Lombardi will just hire another coach like Sutter, if that is not the case.

Everybody calm down. Years of being a Kings fan before 2012 has prepared us for all of this.

That was such a bad signing I didn't see the point in commenting on it. Continue signing guys like that, continue to play the 2012 way, this will keep happening. Or the Kings won't be in the playoffs for it to happen to them.

I still think the Kings can win the next two. However, I'm not so sure about coming back to SJ for game 5
