Why even bother pulling Quick Guys ?

Quick is a professional , he knows the score.

It's why Quick gets the big bucks.

Kings have rolled over. Being embarrassed like this, I don't see the Kings winning a game.

I don't know how the rest of this series is going to turn out, but it's pretty obvious at this point that Lombardi has a lot of changes to make in the offseason. Two blowouts in a row to start the Stanley Cup playoffs from a perennial contender? That doesn't happen.

Brown - no show
Gaborik - no show
Richards - no show

Greene is a -4 and he's the only one who even thinks to pick a fight at this point.

I'm disgusted by what is happening here and I hope that the Kings can pull through this, but like Fox was saying..even against St. Louis last year we were in the first two games that we lost. We are not even close to winning these games.

Just to get out of the mentally draining atmosphere on the ice. He is not himself right now.

You guys really don't think Quick told Sutter that he doesn't wanna be pulled again? I'd be willing to bet 100 bucks he did, there's a reason he pulled him in Game 1 and not tonight. And it's not because he regrets doing it in Game 1.

It's the Hawks playbook - as soon as a Shark gets the puck, they have all the forwards either about to skate out, or already exiting defensive zone via anticipation. The Kings get caught deep every time either because of their aggressive forecheck or a broken cycle, and they're usually left with one of Greene/Mitchell/Regher defending the rush. Normally you want control and sound fundamentals, but against the Kings you're better off simply keeping high pace than trying to make everything perfect, besides the Kings don't really have the weapons to make you pay nor do they play that way. You're not going to win against the Kings by doing controlled break-outs out of your zone and cycling in the offensive zone, most teams have realized that by now after the Hawks dismantled them. The Kings have built their identity on cycling, an aggressive forecheck and having a stay-at-homer on every pair, and right now it's being thrown back at Lombardi's face. It's obvious a lot of players aren't anywhere near 2012, but the Kings are getting exploited pretty heavily past just individual player performances.

Thanks for sharing this. If my team is going to get  off the ice, if multiple Kings players are going, "Oops, :badidea: " then at least I can enjoy learning why the train is going off the rails. If indeed, the Sharks adopted the winning Hawks strategy against us, my hat is off to them. Game theory.

ETA: Yeah, KK, I think we're going to get swept.

I really don't understand what's happening. Sutter is either a genius or an idiot. I guess he's figuring he's got to shake the team up mentally somehow... no clue.

Last time Quick allowed 12 goals in back-to-back games: 2010-11 playoffs -- against San Jose

Getting pulled during game time is humiliating. That's why Sutter hasn't done it, and I agree with him. Let Quick finish out the game.

Quick is not mentally fragile, don't even know why you guys are suggestion so.

Quick will be fine.
