LOL.....some of you are hilarious. How about having some appreciation for a season where the Kings never once had to dig themselves out of a deep hole? They have been the most consistent team in the pacific, earning at least 25 points every 20 games. Everyone had the Ducks finishing 1st this season....and despite the horrid start, you're gonna fault the Kings for not going 40-0 in the last half like the Ducks? Tell me what other team in the league kept up with that pace. Hell, the Kings could barely beat the Ducks all season, so maybe we're exactly where we should be.

Don't forget, less than a month ago, the Kings were the best team in the league. Take a deep breath.

It's not about how good they were or weren't at any one date during the regular season. It's about consistency, exactly what you said. They went from ***** slapping Chicago, Dallas, and NYR, to blowing three goal leads against ****ing Winnipeg that could have secured them a divisional title. If that doesn't concern you, you're insane.

Like I said, I'm not doubting "the switch." I'm just saying prove it. This isn't the 2012 Kings anymore. Williams, Mitchell, and a lot of the other guts guys are gone, the D is a mess, and we still got doofus Brown leading the goalless charge. We'll see how they look in the playoffs. I'm neither optimistic nor cynical. I have truly no idea what to expect. And I don't see any reason why anyone here would.

The boldfaced is my biggest feeling here, haha.

We've seen the guys be worldbeaters despite a questionable d-set and we've seen them crap the bed with immense leads even before this final stretch. And as much as I don't want to put any stock into the slump after clinching, it's hard to just completely ignore that.

Ebbs and flows of a season I guess too, but this team really is a mixed bag.

The BIG concern I have right now is Martinez; if him, Doughty, or Muzzin play less than they're capable of, we're doomed almost regardless. So I hope he comes back and is just fine.

The Winnipeg game really concerns me. You have a team that played a really tight game against the Ducks with "something on the line." Flashback to the Chicago/Dallas back to back, cue the claims of a flipped switch, everyone's comfortable.

But then you have the same team under pressure to win the division against Winnipeg--a team (LA) that is supposed to thrive under pressure, mind you--and they blow a three goal lead.

It gets to the point, especially considering last year, that you really start questioning this whole flipped switch thing. Because right now, it looks like a lot of smoke and mirrors hung over their plain ol' fashioned inconsistency.

The "championship Kings" died with Richards and Voynov, as far as I'm concerned. That team DID have a switch, but that team is gone, and they're not coming back. This team in 15/16 is as different from 12/14 as 12/14 were from 10.

Oh, and Quick, for all his highlight reel saves, just quietly had a pretty damn mediocre season. I've learned not to doubt him too much, though, so I guess that's not so big a deal.

I still think we are better built for the playoffs and once healthy I think we have the deepest lineup in the league. Brown has to show up and our top guys need to lead us. VL and Lucic will be hungry and a welcomed addition . Our defense is what scares me most. I don't doubt Sutter anymore though. I like our chances more with the Sharks then I did with the Preds. I just hate the Sharks so much.

Call it karma, destiny, whatever you want, but from that point of view it's the worst thing that could've happened to us. They'll want revenge for 2014, and usually teams get it, that's how it works in sports.

Also, I think they're like the worst home team and one of the best road teams in history, so we may have a home ice disadvantage.

You don't see any reason? I'll give you three....Kopitar, Doughty and Sutter. If ANYTHING has been taught to us Kings fans since 2012, it should be to have faith in this team until they prove us wrong. I mean, c'mon now. wow!

Oh, and regarding Brown....I refer to him as 'Dustin Buzzkill.'

My forecast is following:

- If the result will be 2:2 in wins after for matches or Kings will lead, Kings will advance;
- if Sharks will lead 3:1 and then lose game 5, Kings will advance;

So basically, Sharks will advance only if they finish Kings quickly (4:0 or 4:1).

I wonder if LA wins on Thursday how many people change their tunes...myself included..I have zero confidence this year.

Hey guys, Oiler fan here.

It's safe to say, you have a very large contingent of our fanbase rooting for you in this series. Sharks fans were absolutely brutal, and pathetic, after the whole Nurse/Polak/Haley incident, so we pretty much can't stand them. Please bounce these losers in the first round like they deserve. :yo:

Well, I think now is when we start to see the dividends of the Lucic trade really start to pay off. Hopefully he turns into the beast we've seen in Boston.

Hoping Versteeg and Vinny add that extra scoring depth too.
