I think Drysdale is more tenacious and quick to act than Cam. Not quite an overtuned motor like Montour was but not as measured and cautious as Cam.

There's some similarity but I don't feel like it's a 1 for 1. I think there's more room for Drysdale to be dynamic where Cam sort of developed into this mature and careful offensive presence.

I don't feel like I'm finding the best words to explain what I mean here.
I think you're right.

Drysdale for me at least is peculiar because he does make a lot of nice plays but in the end he isn't nearly as dangerous as some guys.

Hopefully that's just a consequence of missing a year and he puts it together over time.

True, lot of people didn’t think he was ready and needed a year in the AHL but he’s showing so much already at nhl lvl… hes with the ducks all year 100%
The stick work, instincts, and physicality in his own zone have been amazing. Not to mention what he brings offensively. The toolbox is full.

He’s already great at holding the zone too… going to give out forwards a lot of extra chances this year
He is really good at holding the line. And he hasnt been defensively irresponsible.

If and when the offense clicks i can see him getting a lot of assists

Easily. I'm still chuckling over those who questioned whether he could play defense at the NHL level.

THIS early? Nah man, the shit he's doing at 19 tilting the ice heavily in favor of the team at both ends is unbelievable. He could potentially be the most impactful teenage defenseman since Heiskanen, I don't even think Dahlin looked this good this fast.

We'll see if he can sustain it over 82 games.

Does Pronman and Wheeler still have Muffin man Korchinski higher than Mintyukov ? The only thing Korchinksi has over him is 6'3 vs 6'1 but I heard he's soft and trainwreck defensively.

This dude was amazing last night. I couldn’t even count how many times he hustled to hold the puck in his own zone when it clearly look like it was going to get cleared. If that was Fowler, well you already know what was going to happen.
He also had a number of strong defensive plays including a straight up takeaway from behind on the left wing of his defensive zone.

What continues to strike me is how quickly he's improved from the start of rookie camp to today. I think myself and several others didn't have him penciled in the lineup for most of preseason and it wasn't until the tail end that he really started to put things together and he's just transitioned seamlessly since then with some really strong play every night. It's wild to think that Zellweger and Luneau are still waiting in the wings to improve their respective games and could add even more to this blueline.

I feel like I am getting my hopes up we the excitement around his start. We sound like Senator fans did last year when talking about Sanderson, and Minty is only in his D+2 instead of D+3 like Sanderson was.

I feel like he has been better already then Drysdale has been in any 5 game stretch of his NHL career so far.
Definitely drsdale has yet to have a 5 game impact close to minty
