Hmm, Brodzinski gets chances with some decent wingers for an extended period of time and puts up points? He creates some offense and uses his speed to make plays? Who would have guessed it...
Most of the cup winning goalies in the last decade have been "meh" goalies. They played well in the playoffs, but I think if you look at those names you would say most of them are average NHL goalies.Absolutely not. However, we and our poor Hank have watched some really dogshit goalies do it.

As long as Talbot doesn't shit the bed completely, they have a pretty good shot because they are so good defensively.
Never understood why Jonny thought the New York Rangers' own fans are booing a strategic tactic, in place by the best head coach in franchise history since Keenan, rather than the opponent.@ Jonny Lazarus.
If you get to read this, we are booing the 1-3-1 not the opposing team stalling with the puck against it.
Sounds like Los Angeles to meGuy won them two Cups and they're eviscerating the man. Took home 5 of 8 points on road trip and calling the 16-4-4 club quitters. Refs handed us the game. We suck without a PP. Man, that Kings thread is a bunch of whiny, entitled *******. Get a grip. Least Coast hockey? Go take a look at the bottom feeders in the West. Rangers have beaten three of the top-4 in West.
I thought they were boo'ing Doughty for diving against Trocheck@ Jonny Lazarus.

Re: the Bod
We've had countless 13th–14th forwards in the past decade+ come in and just suck major eggs to the extent that it was painful to watch, so to see a 30-year-old tweener come in and play decent hockey, show some speed and put up some important points feels almost like a miracle. Even before he was put in the top six and produced, I don't understand why some sneezed at him considering the other sour, rotting garbage depth pieces we've played in the recent past, and that still exist by the dozens around the league.
I am decidedly on team Bod.
Vesey-Goodrow-Pitlick really has been excellent for ~ 100 min TOI now. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that’s predominantly the really fast strong transition/forechecking wingers and not the guy actively trying to give the other team the puck at every opportunity. Brodzinski between them would be even better.Lots of buy-in on Brodzinski stock now. Shows you how good the depth is when healthy. If Rangers can get Chytil back in the not too distant future, assuming both he and Kaapo are good to go come late April, early May, it'll make for some extremely tough decisions for Lavi and his staff. Say what you want about Goodrow, but that fourth line has now been tasked with Boston's top line and LA's and they've been fantastic. Is it as simple as a Pitlick/Bonino as 12F come playoffs? If Chytil comes back soon, I'd love to see Cuylle-Chytil-Brodzinski together.
I'm sure he's working with Allaire. He needs to play his way out of it.He can get some intense sessions with Allaire. They are badly needed right now.
That's how at worst you start a new dark ages, or at best become a second round max.I think they need to decide between Miller and Lindgren. Would prefer if they did it at the deadline, but it will probably longer.
If they want a cheap RW, would see if SJ wants to sell high on Zetterlund. Might cost a first but the Rangers are in win now. Cheap contract, helps team speed, and the overpay to get him out of there is balanced out by the Devils fans heads exploding if he succeeds in NYC
It doesn’t depend on Garand. You can get a goalie back in a trade. Garand is irrelevant. Quick honestly irrelevant too; no one expecting that’s a long term answer. You just go year to year
Hfboards should have a hmm choice under the like button.I thought they were boo'ing Doughty for diving against Trocheck
Yes, he's on the roster.Hey, ummm...
Is Quick our Goalie???
Can I add that he NEEDS TO keep that puck DOWN. He has a good shot, but just needs to NOT make it easy on the goaltender using their gloves. Never gonna get a rebound that way.Nice course correction game against a good team. Defense looking closer to how they started the season.
My only nit pick is Schneider. We needed him to be a big shutdown guy and i'm just not seeing it yet.
Also F the refs forever and always.
And a couple of other choices too.Hfboards should have a hmm choice under the like button.
How many of those guys have gotten time above the 4th line? That's not to suggest that any of those other players would do just as well playing higher in the lineup, but Brodz has been afforded an opportunity that few other veteran call ups have been given. Good for him for making the most of it.Re: the Bod

No that’s on me for not being clearer.Never understood why Jonny thought the New York Rangers' own fans are booing a strategic tactic, in place by the best head coach in franchise history since Keenan, rather than the opponent.
I don't think it has to be defined as who's #1. We are fortunate to have both. Heck, I have no problem with Quickie starting 30 or so games. It'll behoove Shesty come playoff time. Whomever is sharper when that time comes, plays. It's that simple. No ego stuff going on with this team. Shesty needs to be much better though.Richter/VanBiesbrouck

We're a very good team where he doesn't have to STEAL games, just don't give up 2 or 3 every 1st period.
