IDK if it was mentioned in the pregame but Brodz was a Kings draft pick back in 2013 and he spent the first several years of his career in that organization. His most productive NHL stint was 35 games with the Kings in 17-18 where he went 4-2-6. So he only needs one more point to establish a career high.

I agree that you have to run with Shesty in the playoffs if he gets his game back. He's too good in the post season to go with anyone else and was the best player on the ice against the devils last year.

But....

Quick is a two-time cup winner and has completely looked the part in his 8-0-1 start to the season so far. I don't know how you can look at his resume and his current level of play and not say he's earned more starts at this point considering Shesty has been rather pedestrian so far.

I'd get creative and trade K'Andre Miller. You could get someone really really good in a hockey trade.

Less good but still good if you dump Schneider. I don't think Lindgren returns an upgrade on a chytil at RW experiment so I'd just keep him.

I think the roster has the ingredients to win provided Chytil and Kakko return and Othmann gets a call up at some point. Gonna be hard to make a move with the cap but we’re near deep enough to survive injuries. Another guy who can hit and forecheck would be nice. Need that in the playoffs

Missed yesterday's game thank god. Caught this one and call the first half of this game boring all you want but that's how the Rangers have to play to win. Good team structure on defense. Good support behind the net and along the boards. Getting to the puck with purpose. Draws penalties to play to their strength.

NHL refereeing: Never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence. Legitimately, I believe that many of them don't even fully know their own rulebook. Also, Tim Peel may have been the one caught on mic but all of them live by the same game management mantra.

Why do I get the feeling Lavi and Drury watched Trading Places together and Lavi bet Drury a dollar that he can make Brodzinski successful and make Kakko poor?

Fox was laying in our net with a King laying nearby. Only thing I can think of is the King guy tried to get up and race back as the Rangers broke out and Fox reached out with his stick and tripped him. But we never got a replay
