I wouldn't go judging people's personalities strictly by what they give in shitty, paint by numbers sports interviews. These guys are coached into saying nothing because the media scene is toxic.

Its pretty clear that the context provided is that boring=boring/dull interviews.

The NHL needs more star players who generate media clicks, but I care about how engaging a captain is in interviews/the media slightly less than I care about the colour of a goalie's pads or what shade of blue Montreal uses on the third jerseys (if they use them).

Media is toxic.
Fans also tend to hyper-analyze and judge a person's character very heavily with just the slightest bits of communication.
Also opens the door to defamation lawsuits.

Glad he landed in a Canadian market again. If he can reach his potential he is an all star. He is an enigma. Nobody really knows why he stopped scoring at will. November 2019 he scored 5 goals in one game, then went on to have a very disappointing season. If he's not playing well, you'll notice the play die on his stick and he won't move his feet. When he's playing well you'll notice him using his hands and trying to make plays. I'll be cheering for him.

lol what is with the Habs and having captains with limited personalities

Nick - boring
Weber - boring
Max - boring
Gionta - boring
Saku - boring
They kind of have to appear that way to the public. Let's not forget how Weber came up with the nickname "The Cock" for Caufield in his rookie year. I'm sure they are a lot more fun than they appear.

I'd rather have a colonoscopy than listen to Toews doing an interview.
