Werenski:

"For him to bash us like that, I think it's just unacceptable,"

"We were nothing but good teammates to him," Werenski continued. "For him to come in and say all that, that's bulls---. Definitely not happy about it and none of us in this room are happy about it. That speaks more about him than it does us."

"What's he thinking saying that? It's just incredible," Werenski said after agreeing there was some extra motivation through the lineup. "I've got no more time for that. I don't want to talk about Patty anymore. I hope he's all right. I just thought that was pretty ridiculous, to be honest."

#TradeLaine

He could fetch a 1st for sure.

Guy scores 8 goals in 9 games, then gets banged up and is likely held out for precautionary reasons with the break coming, and now people have the pitchforks out? Pathetic comments in here. His pre game comments were beyond tame too. Only in the NHL would they be "controversial."

I agree with you.

Some of the reactions in here are truly embarrassing.

I’m not excusing that Laine has his quirks, but this is BS. It’s accepted history that Werenski was part of the group that asked Jarmo to trade Laine because they didn’t like him. #settingtherecordstraight

Some truly pathetic posters in here, and as per usual always the same plebs
No surprise lol

Always makes it a partial shame to be a Habs fan lol, wish we could shove em all in a corner ffs

Hopefully it ain't too serious for Patrik
We are just a better team with him on it, period.
He gave honest answers to questions about the Jackets...................instead of the plain Jane god awful interviews by most hockey players................
Too bad if people are piling on him.............for being honest...

Hope his injury isn't too bad and he is on the Florida trip!

This is not the first time we have heard stuff about the Jackets and the players accepting the losing, rinse and repeat.
Words/Actions..................

True he was honest.

There's a place and time for everything tho.

That was a place and time for a plain jane BS answer.

Unless his intent was to fire up the Blue Jackets and get them a W... then, mission accomplished.

I think Laine's honesty has gotten him in trouble almost everywhere he goes.......sad eh.
Monty seemed to help the Jackets, more than Laine's words.

I would just say there is a time and a place for those comments.

Calling your former team that just lost their star player to a tragedy a bunch of losers is obviously not going to sit well with them, and not really a cool thing to do in general.

Laine talked shit and got hit, but hey, that's sports! We're talking about it because it's an exciting storyline, even if we got the worst of it.

Every player can’t be cookie cutter boring. Laine is excentric. He says what’s on his mind. He won’t only make friends. But he also happens to score bucketloads of PP goals. If the dressing room is strong enough, we can absolutely win with a player like that.

According to Anti Chambre, Laine did say good things about certain players like Olivier but as always, the media never publish the entire quote

If portzline took that quote out of context, then he's a jerkoff too. I know he's been pretty outspoken about Laine in the past too.

Laine still said too much though.
