What is it with these swede defensemen, they have a chip on their shoulder for Laine for some reason?
This is just bad luck. It doesn't take much to break it.Man, he seriously got a glass body for a 6’5 dude
He needs to add some new regimen for his off season training: how to take hits to the heads and how to fall properly when slew footed. And more vitamin C to his daily diet. I think he has pissed off some gypsies or something and got the evil eye.Man, he seriously got a glass body for a 6’5 dude
Yeah, freaking swedes seem to be out to injure him. Two very dirty plays, two Laine injuries. What is it with these swede defensemen, they have a chip on their shoulder for Laine for some reason?
Sneaky slewfoot by Lagesson. Laine just can’t catch a break this season
The guy is made of glass,,not worth the contract,,Like seriously, what does that play have to do with hockey? Grrrrr
Either or both of those things could be true but the evidence you’re using to make that determination is all wrong. Two dirty plays that could have resulted in injuries for anyone. The guy is made of glass,,not worth the contract,,
he's been out of the lineup this year for three different things:The guy is made of glass,,not worth the contract,,

he's been out of the lineup this year for three different things:
1. absurdly dirty headshot
2. illness
3. borderline slew foot that sent him into the boards at full-speed
#1 and #3 would have caused any other player to miss time.
#2 was an illness that also took elvis and sillinger out of the lineup
it's simply a case of abhorrently bad luck for patty.
That was a dangerous play but it was not at full speed, just an awkward fall that usually does not result in injury. Most of us have taken worse hits.
Thank godINJURY UPDATE: #CBJ forward Patrik Laine is expected to be sidelined six weeks with a clavicle fracture suffered in last night's game at Toronto.
Something seems pretty (Swedish) fishy about this. This is just bad luck. It doesn't take much to break it.
One Swedish idiot (Andersson) gives him concussion, the other Swedish idiot (Lagesson) clavicle fracture.
It is very easy to break something. Thanks to a bad footing, I sprained my instep, although I never had and don't have any problems with bones. Although Laine was not at full speed, he did not control his fall and the trajectory of his movement. That was a dangerous play but it was not at full speed, just an awkward fall that usually does not result in injury.
It also gives the jackets at a look the lineup without Laine. If they start to string together some wins without him in the lineup I wouldn't be surprised them to check on his value leading up the TDL. Don't think anything happens though with the current cap situation around the league. I wouldn't be surprised over the next two seasons when it rises though.Again if one tries to find a positive from this.
This gives Laine 6 weeks more weeks to recover from the concussion and give him a perfect reset opportunity.
Everyone knows how bad it was going for Laine and now instead of benching or scratching him he gets a ”free” reset chance
Whatever.
This season was already floating in the toilet bowl. The Laine injury is just the flush.
You're right, but if I'm not mistaken, Laine didn't have a single fracture. His sprained joint healed quickly, as did the injury to his elbow after a hard hit by Pesce. If he had bad bones, it would take longer.Let's just say some of us break much easier than others. Bone density varies widely between people. Nick Foligno isn't getting injured on that play. I've seen him go much harder in to the boards than that.
