Not sure of his salary, but if it is reasonable, Bob McKennzie speculates that Brendan Sutter may be used as trade bait by Pens.... and he's a gritty centerman.

Frankly, I'd rather get a 2016 first round pick. The cupboard is full and I want an extra 1st to play with at the deadline next year, potentially, if Hawks are showing signs of life.

Plus a 2016 first is fun because it could end up being really good and it gives us a team to root against all season.

It's about 20 - and there are no direct flights between the two cities.

edit - if google maps is to be believed, it's 18:16 if you take the Northern Ontario route (fun in the winter!) and 20:43 if you cut south through Michigan. Assuming you drive without stopping, of course.

I thought we were talking about Toronto, not Montreal. 14:56 to Toronto.

Not sure I see the Columbus hype, but I think Florida is trending up. Smartest thing Tallon has done is not trade that #1 OA last year and take Ekblad. Just imagine if they had taken Seth Jones instead of Barkov. That pair would be unbelievable going forward.

Florida's forwards are just good not great. Top end F aren't great but they might be able to do it based purely on volume. Bjugstad, Huberdeau, Barkov, Jagr, Jokinen. That's alot of good, I guess.

Bjug is going to be a monster. Hub and Barkov have underwhelmed me considering their draft position.

Wonder how long till this happens. Next couple days? Or wait till the draft next week? I like the Florida idea, and I'm thinking that'd be a place he'd at least give consideration to go.

Somebody find me a solid #5/6 D-man Sharp can be traded for that will not make over 2.5 for the next two years.

I thought it was Montreal b/c that was what was on his NTC.

15 hrs b/w Thunder Bay and Toronto seems quick.

from Thunder Bay, played High School sports against Sharp... Thunder Bay to Toronto is a 16 hour drive...Winnipeg is 7.5 hrs while the closest NHL city is Minny at about 6.5, 7 if your slow....I think Sharp goes to FLA

That's pretty cool. What other sports did he play besides hockey?

Okay - I'll go with what you say 100%.

I've been up that way - but never done a straight drive from TO to Thunder Bay. But 16 hours is still aggressive driving, no? I mean once you get past the soo, if you're driving the L. Superior route you're down to a lane each way for the most part, no? and if you swing east aren't you stuck with the logging, etc transports?

Most likely either Florida, Montreal or Washington.

You never know. He might be happy to go to Florida. Whatever is best for his family will likely play a huge part after he's won 3 cups.

16 hrs and the toughest stretch is from TBay to the Soo or vice versa.....the soo to Toronto is easy not accounting for traffic.......

That's disappointing to hear he was a soccer player. At least he made up for it with golf. And obviously hockey

Hi, at first Congratulations to all Chicago fans on winning the Stanley Cup
and I try to find out what would you want from Caps for possible Patrick Sharp trade...

Brouwer + Galiev/Carrick + Caps 3rd round pick (62th Overall)

is this proposal possible for you?

Soccer is an amazing sport to play, yes watching it is boring, but saying gold is better makes me want to puke.

It's not for me. Less than zero interest in Brouwer as a player, and he makes wayyyy to much money to be traded to the Hawks.

Barkov was really good after they acquired Jagr. I think Barkov is going to breakout next year and be a a good Top 6 center, maybe not a true #1 right away, but he has that potential over the next couple of years.
