Value of: Patrick Kane to the Sabres at the trade deadline

Washington, Pittsburgh and or Boston. IF Marner or Matthews go down with a season ending injury. Anything is possible. Islander should be back in the mix. I would not be surprised to see 2 of Detroit, Ottawa or Buffalo make the playoffs.
Pittsburgh is a lock. Crosby isn't ready to step back. It would take matthews and marner to go down for 50 plus for Toronto to miss. Washington is a bit of a wild card but they too are deeper than Buffalo. Ottawa NYI and Detroit will make it before Buffalo.

Yeah i'm sure Kane wants to go to a team that has a 0% chance of making the playoffs, Patrick Kane will go to a legit cup contender. And that sure as hell isn't Buffalo.
Awww, just because the Sabres are building a better pool of prospects and are further ahead than Detroit doesn’t need you to be so salty. It’s a shame Yzerman added vets to ruin a perfect opportunity to grab Bedard. So short sighted.

Yes, MAYBE Detroit after winning cups and being in play for several others are a bit behind Buffalo in building.
Buffalo had 1 good year where they rode a great goalie over a decade ago.
Face it, you think you’re further ahead but the Sabres have been in building mode since Punch Imlach left.
Full disclosure, I’m a Hawk fan, hate the wings. I just found your claim laughable.

 Buffalo ahead and building a better pool of Prospect, Yeah than why is Detroit prospect pipeline ranked way ahead of Buffalo then? Not being salty only speaking of the facts. And i bet Detroit wins a cup before Buffalo does. And that's right Buffalo hasn't won a cup yet.

This whole thread is kind of a joke but 08 was a long time ago so nobody cares and who exactly ranked Detroit's pipeline ahead of Buffalo? Link below is from 2 days ago, The Hockey Writers. Buffalo at #1 and Det at #3 so good on them but false on you. It certainly wasn't The Athletic. Just who is telling you this?

Yeah when you continuously play like garbage like Buffalo does, And no one wants to be there like Eichel, Reinhart and Ristolainen. then yeah you're bound to have a good prospect pool.

So you just made a completely idiotic and false claim and now you're trying to defend it?
P.S. Detroit sucks too bro simmer down

I’m not a Wings fan but did you read what you posted.
The Buffalo kids who played NHL games were counted in the prospect rankings.
Raymond and Seider (2 red wing rookies) were not considered because they both can close to winning the Calder.
So if Raymond and Seider were still considered which pool would you rather have?

Sabres are far more likely to win 1st overall in the 2023 draft than they are making a WC spot. Not even close to being a playoff team and not even close to being as good as Detroit. "Further ahead" lol

I was just asking for him to verify his claim that the RW prospects were "way ahead" of the Sabres. I also posted a resource to the contrary of his claim. Did you read what I posted? Pretty straight forward stuff man.

I guess if you don't like how they conduct their rankings you should take it up with The Hockey Writers or The Athletic or any of the other publications that discredit his claim. I mean, it was a ridiculous claim by a zealous poster and I'm not sure why a reasonable fan is defending it.

Doing this thread again, eh?
Cess pool Chain. Not sure why I stepped in it.

Fair enough, lets include Buffalo's U23's that played in the NHL then too if we're counting Raymond and Seider.

Dahlin
Krebs
Cozens
Samuelsson

Still think Detroit has the better pool?

This is assuming Kane is requesting to go home to Buffalo and the Sabres are somewhat in the playoff hunt in February. Sabres could just wait to sign him next summer but it could be a trade similar to Taylor Hall where the Sabres got a 2nd, Bjork and Lazar. Chicago doesn't want him to walk for nothing. Buffalo does have three 2nd round picks in 2023 and also have the rights to Portillo and Ryan Johnson which could all be included in a package. What is realistic at the deadline under this scenario.
Assuming, requesting, somewhat, could just, it could, doesn’t want, does have, also have, which could, what is, realistic, scenario..

If you are not already , you would make a great blogger rumor starter .. EK look out man..

If Buffalo lands Bedard then I could see Kane coming over as a UFA.
