Roster Moves: (Part II) Gostisbehere, 2022 2nd, 2022 7th to AZ, cap relief in return

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Chuck clearly got caught with his pants down and it was a total embarrassment. Ghost should have been moved during the regular season, What the frig is our next move...give Jake and picks for futures! So far the nightmare season continues.
Ghost was on waivers during the regular season and nobody took him lmao

There was no player on the Flyers that had more potential than Ghost. If he realizes his potential on another team, I'll have to laugh and say typical Flyers. Good luck to Ghost and I'll be rooting for him. By the way, they are basically making Ghost the scapegoat for their lousy Defense despite the fact that nothing changed when he was out of the lineup.

Things actually got distinctly worse since he was the only dman who could consistently get the puck up ice in this idiotic breakout without turning it over.

It's one thing to not keep up with language evolution or to not understand the nature of a hot dog.

Anyone who needs this explained to them should probably be lobotomized and sent to the farms.

Wait, are we talking about tomato juice here or “should of/have”? I need to know before I “like” your post.

Again, I could give a rat’s ass.

With that, I’ll take my leave of you to go swim in the Mediterranean with my children.
You keep saying that, and yet you keep responding. You're welcome for the free english lesson by the way. Now you can be the smartest guy in your trailer park.

If our language was phonetic "of" would be a natural mistake. The language is not phonetic, so people should know better. Memorize harder.

Everyone should know you can't go by sound in this shitshow of a tongue

Because they, like most idiots in this fanbase, can't see past lazy inaccurate stereotypes.

Ghost actually had the best defensive numbers on the team last year and yet they still think removing him and replacing him with someone bigger (aka worse) will help prevent goals.

Best expected goals against, per 60 minutes
Best high danger shot attempts against, per 60 minutes
Best high danger goals against, per 60 minutes
And that's with a shitty on-ice save %, so it's not just good goaltending luck.

But yeah, "poor defensively".

The over-valuing of Ghost on this board is getting out of hand.

When Ghost is the best defenseman on the team in a year where all others had a major down year, it doesn't exactly say much.

If that's a fully fit Shane and thats him back to the best he can be, then it's pretty underwhelming.

Still a capable player and not necessary to light a 2nd on fire to move him.

It actually says quite a lot.

Ghost and Sanheim were able to play well, so obviously it was possible. The others just couldn’t keep up and that’s on them.

Krug produced come playoff time, Ghost didn't.

I think a major issue with Ghost is under the table, he had both knees scoped last season, that suggests some chronic knee issues, given his size, if the knees start to go and he loses his lateral agility and burst (already has lost his speed) his career will quickly end.

If teams have seen his medicals, that may explain the lack of interest, even if you get one year out of him, you don't want to be stuck with a $4.5M cap hit in 2022-23 for a rapidly declining player.
