Rick Wilson.

The man that “retired” from the Stars right? Also spent years behind a mediocre Minny bench?

Get them good heavy prairie boys in here.

So it was Shanahan who signed Martin to that 4 year, $2.5m deal? How odd that Martin was traded to the Islanders as soon as Lou took over there.

Shanny must have also being the guy who told every player to keep their face as smooth as a baby's butt or suffer the consequences

Right, and in an effort to improve and move along with the times the organization decided to go with Dubas and gracefully let Lou leave.

Holmgren is the turd Shanahan shoots out of his ass. The old guard will need to die out for this organization to truly move forward. I firmly believe that.

You can bet your ass Dave Scott pushed for him.

“He’s got experience, and isn’t afraid at making moves, he’s our man!”

This organization is the Leafs before the modern day Renaissance. Without a real purge of the old guard - the more that changes, the more things stay the same.

I really, really wouldn't mind a huge purge. It's going to have to wait for a while now.

He hired Lou in 2015, not 2005 lol.

Are you saying the Leaf's modern day Renaissance only started six months ago?

Uh, the "renaissance" Leafs hired Loony Lou to be their GM.
Wait...Hockey Twitter has already enshrined Dubas in the Hall of Fame for being the greatest GM of all time and building that juggernaut Leafs team, even though he was just hired.

And what has boy wonder Dubas accomplished so far?

Let’s see after another 5 years who is the better GM between Fletcher and Dubas.

Sometimes making no move, is the smart move. Something Dave Scott doesn’t understand.
But this team is slow, small, boring but when hexy got fired they got kinda fun to watch these last couple games even though they blew one.

Ok let’s see. Fletcher hasn’t even be officially named GM yet and apparently the Flyers are on the downward trend.

We'll see, Hextall set Fletcher up for success, he doesn't have to be brilliant, just don't screw the pooch.
As long as he doesn't mess with the core, he'd have to really lose every trade to keep this team from being really good in a couple years:

Core: G, Couts, Patrick, TK, Frost, Farabee, Provorov, Myers, Sanheim, Hart

You can also probably expect Hakstol to stay on for a while here.

I get they need to fill that assistant void, but if it was a new HC coming in you’d fire he would have picked his own guys.

Fletcher and Hakstol. Laughable.

You'd think we would have learned from Hakstol not to blindly assume someone would be a good hire just because they had no track record that can be picked apart in the role they were being hired for.

They were arguably on a downward trend the day they fired Hextall to “accelerate” things.

If only Ron could have fired Hak. My god f***. This went from having to remove an appendix to losing a lung and having it replaced with a bull testicle.

As long as this organization continues to draft well, I don’t see the pending apocalypse of the Fletcher signing. This team has drafted well all the way back under Clarke. Unless he comes in and purges the entire amateur scouting department, I don’t see imminent doom.

Fletcher, Holmgren, and Scott are all found guilty by the Pre-Crime Unit for keeping Hakstol and Lappy employed. Make no mistake, they are not getting fired.
