The Blues obviously need a shake up in their D core as players just don't seem to mesh well as defensive partners. Is there any interest in picking up one of these players Parayko, Krug or Leddy with term at the deadline or swapping comparable contracts outside the playoff picture. For instance, Cam Fowler and Torey Krug have similar contracts. Both teams need a shake up adding a piece or pieces to make a deal.

I would imagine There would be a few contenders that would quite be interested in any of the 3.

Yeah I could see one of these guys being moved for a “change of scenery” trade.

I think the most likely of the listed scenarios would be Krug at the TDL to a contender though. Would fetch a good return.

offer it up man! We're open for bizness....haha

I'd love Toronto to get Parayko. Only downside is no ROR if we aquire Parayko.
So I have to ask....Since he has term, is Knies on the table? haha.

With Paraykos down season and length of contract I wouldnt think so. That doesn't mean he wouldn't get a really good package though. Somthing like 2023 1st + Sandin + 2024 2nd + 1 year cap dump or more depending on the amount of teams interested.

I doubt Zito would go for it, but an Ekblad for Parayko swap, with whatever pluses, could be interesting. Can Parayko still skate?

Has Krug regressed defensively the last couple years?

If Chychrun doesn't wind up here, I wouldn't mind bringing him back to QB the PP again which will allow the Bruins to keep McAvoy fresher for 5-on-5 play. They could probably shelter Krug on the 3rd pair with Forbort too.

I just don’t think Faulk is the right partner for him and neither was Parayko. He can still get it done offensively. Just seems the blues defense chases the puck and leaves the slot open for a shot.

I don't think he's regressed, but we just don't have the d core to properly shelter him and have the other pairings not suffer because of it, and because of that it's just become a terrible fit.

He was great in Boston because he had Chara, and later Carlo as a partner to stay home and eliminate mistakes. With the flexibility to take chances and jump into the play he's very valuable, but yeah, I wouldn't ever put him with another undersized and offensive-minded guy, that's just asking for disaster.

That’s been the problem. Two risk takers don’t work. Krug takes off and 4 guys want the puck so….what would be a fair move from a Bruins perspective?

The Ducks didn’t extend Lindholm because they didn’t want to pay him that until his mid 30s.

I doubt they have any interest in any of those guys to their mid to late 30s. Not to mention it would cost Fowler who is their only top 4 defensemen.
