You know what I'm going to say. ;P

Still, it does seem like the Leafs are catching a lot of teams on an off day lately. And, of course, nobody (with common sense, anyway) has ever been concerned about their regular season success.

Can we get the route to stop in Grey/Bruce County? Feel like the shit my family, friends and I have had to deal with for 20 years we kinda deserve it.

We'll supply the pints.

I really liked the beat down last night. Leafs were overdue to lay one on a team.

But, I don't feel they were dominant. The Avs fell apart eventually but were competitive most of the game.

I'm convinced we win that game no matter who's in net for them, but the score doesn't reflect how close the game was, for the most part .

Glad the Leafs stayed focused against a really good team.

What does that have to do with what he said at all? or did you just need to get the word "elite" out there again?

Should we expect our ELITE players to suffer similar injury issues as Malkin, Price, and Weber?

Why are we still letting this Senators fan here kick up a storm? We'd outright get banned if it was us in the other end.

I got a 1 month ban from the Avs forum for responding with a harmless jab to that 8-3 Avs prediction. I simply just said “You were so close chief! ;););)“ The poster actually liked my post.

The double standard is ridiculous.

We are running out of top teams to beat. Caps, Oilers, Panthers, Wild, Blues, and Canes left. Not sure we will have another shot at the Pens and would be nice to beat the Avs, VGK, and Bruins on the road.

Team is playing "the right way" and Soup's play is off the charts. We are only 1/4 of the way into the season so there will be ups and downs but I am seeing lots of positives. Can they bring it in the playoffs is what remains to be answered.

Panthers are in the same boat as the Leafs. A first round loss will not be acceptable for them either. Tampa just wants to make the playoffs because they think they can bet anybody in the playoffs. Not so sure given what they lost during the offseason but they'll still be a tough out.

Leaf's record to date is very legitimate. They've played well. But it will be interesting to see how they react when real adversity strikes them. That's all.

Leafs have to perpetually deal with the adversity of Toronto and national media in a way that no other NHL club has to. Adversity is a constant in Toronto

What adversity are they currently going through?

Leafs 1st period might have been their best period they played all season.

Had the Avs had an NHL goalie in net the game would have been more competitive on the scoreboard, but Leafs played a really solid game nonetheless and I agree we would likely still have won even if Darcy Kuemper played.

Funny how "off days" doesn't work when the Leafs lose.

You've been here too long. You're confusing me with the typical HF poster.

Lol catching teams on an off day??? Maybe the leafs are making them off...

Yeah, I'm sure Engvall has just been holding back all this time. That goal totally had nothing to do with the goalie being shellshocked.

Typical defensive fanboy response. All I did was point out they've had a few easy games lately with no suggestion whatsoever that they can't win the harder games. If you actually believe I was making an attempt to ridicule the team, then tell me...does it reflect the reality yet?

What adversity are they currently going through?
Have you SEEN this forum? The whole "does it reflect the reality" thing is a direct result of how quickly Leafs fans turn on the team. Leafs fans epitomize fickleness.

Yeah, I thought the Leafs came out strong and pushed the play for a majority of the 1st period. 2nd period I thought they had a harder time getting out of their own zone and Campbell made a bunch of saves that kept them in the game.

I don't think anyone was feeling sorry for the Leafs when they had to run out Hutchinson and he was letting in the same.

Agree that a win is a win and no team should apologize for that.
It is humorous that when we send out Woll for 3 games, the story isn't we win in spite of playing Woll, it is we win because of Woll.

If Matthews/Marner left MacKinnon open the way Mack/Rantanen left Matthews open......it wouldnt be pretty around here, heh.

They just peel away from the reigning Rocket winner like he isnt even there.

For a moment I thought that I was watching a CFL game and the Avs were scrambling to be at least five yards away from the receiver to avoid a "no yards" penalty.

Well I mean he's Woll, without him this team would be in the lottery or something.. It can't actually be that we're finally playing good defense, I mean look at how the other team occasionally get chances to score.. It's almost like they're also world class athletes trying to win or something..

Leafs on a 120 point season pace......nice.

Loss coming up?

5 win, 1 loss, 5 win, 1 loss, 5 win......

Matthews sans the stache confused everyone on the Avs; they didn't recognize that it was Auston. Rantanen thought it was some rookie in front of the net and it will be an easy save

that goal was filthy
I think there might have been some confusion on assignments. Rants has been playing center for a little while and that changed yesterday
