That was all Soup. Leafs should have buried the flames, they played last night

New to the game? I was actually building your case about the ability to score doesn't mean you are easy to play against.

If we are watching Matthews last year while he was using his body and driving the net,, forechecking and getting back to his own end creating turnovers he is very difficult to play against.

You also have to constantly pay attebtion to where he is as he needs very little time or space to get off a shot.

You are new to hockey if you believe other teams are not focusing on Matthews not beating them in their pre game prep

Great game by the boys. Hustled throughout. Why do we make every goalie look like superstars? Rielly has to be reigned in…gambles way too much with no success and allows 2 on 1s.

They really need to start scoring.

But the defense is nice in the meantime.

But the D isn't good though. Campbell has erased a lot of their problems

Every game, opponents constantly getting behind our D

What a slow burn of a game.

Biggest point of concern has to be Jacks load. Guy has elevated himself from an unknown to a known, no? At least a little more trusted.

Can ya run him into the ground?

Nice to see the team coming from behind instead of dropping them late.

Much better effort the past few games in general. Let’s keep the effort level up and the success will continue!

Great night really hard fought game lots of blocks I hope JT91 is ok as well. Defence is killing it past couple games.

Good effort by Marner he should be happy with that one even with no points. Off game for AM34 too but he had his looks, ultimately carried OT, and wasn’t doing anything foolish.

Campbell and Willy are carry gods.

Such a frustrating (but exciting) game. We were the better team byba stretch but continue to give up good chances off the rush.

It's great to see the core 4 leading the way.

Thought it was a pretty honest effort tonight, glad they got rewarded with the win.

Fully expecting a rotten egg tomorrow.

Leafs played a pretty decent game. I was frustrated as usual with their lack of offense, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter when you have stellar goaltending that Campbell has been providing.

Matthews had a pretty bad game up until towards the end of the game, looked to be fobbling the puck a lot, but as usual, he scores the big goals even when he hasn't been at his best.

Nylander has been the Leafs' best player outside of Tavares and Campbell, he's been absolutely fantastic. I still can't get over why so many people wanted him traded. One of my favorite players since he debuted with the Leafs.

What continues to concern me is the severe lack of secondary scoring. Bunting plays with two of the NHL's better players and barely musters any offense. Kerfoot plays with one of the best playmakers in the NHL and has a meager two goals getting second line minutes.

Engvall is pretty useless, the only time he shoots is low percentage shots and has no offensive awareness to his game whatsoever.

I do like Kase and Kampf though, as they bring other aspects to their game.

Simmonds provides no offense, Ritchie... doesn't bring much of anything.

This team is a mystery to me this season. On one hand, their top four are doing fine, but on the other hand, the rest of the secondary offense is non-existent. That has to be concerning to others or maybe it's just me and I like to complain, who knows?!

Still, a good game, I can't complain about their effort. Just wish they didn't make a third stringer look as good as he did. Exciting game though, so I guess thanks for that then at least.

You know who's a superstar tough to play against? Go see MacKinnon, go see McDavid, Crosboy, Malkin, Oveckhin, Kucharov and Drai

Their game doesn't just revolve around a shot. They create havoc on opponents D, they create chances out of nothing, their instill fear in opposition every time they have the puck. That's what I am talking about. They take it to the opponents

You keep focusing on goals. As if Matthews is the only player who scores in this league. Pstarnak scores goals and he's always brings it. Today it was Marian Hossa who used to score goals and he was one of the most toughest to play against

You keep thinking it's all about points. He's not difficult to play against doesn't mean he's not a good player. Matthews is simply not difficult to play against. He gives up on the play easily, he gets knocked off the puck and he gives up

He only scored tonight because it was 3 on 3. He hasn't been difficult to play against.

So on to the mistake on the other side of the lake. Can we get Woll to pull a Vladar and stone the Sabres? Please please please...
