When he plays on the board, I even find him heavier and more able to separate his opponent from the play because of positioning and all… Instead of pinning him on the board, and sitting on the puck like Aaron.

Seth is looking like the perfect D to complete our top-3 IMO. BIG, responsible two-way PP-quarterback. What else ?

Personally I think it's too soon to proclaim Jones as the better defenseman unless you've watched him consistently on Chicago. He's looked good but it's only been a few games.


The main reason I'd pick Jones over Ekblad is the ability to stay healthy, which in turn will likely cause him to age better as a player.

But at their best? I don't think there's a huge difference between the two. They've been similar statistically over the past couple of years besides Ekblad's 2023-24 regular season. Ekblad was on the much better team, but that's somewhat offset by Jones playing more minutes throughout their careers, thus, more opportunity to produce.

Defensively looks good but everyone sucked offensively which tracks’ish

Sloppy passing and unable to clear the defensive zone, everyone seemed off in intensity. Still should've been a tied game had the refs not blown that so soon but w/e.

Tampa lost and as long as we win thursday were still in good shape for the division
