This is why letting in a wrist shot from the blue line, as the game winning goal no less, is so brutal with this team at this stage. You cant give points up like that, because now they are on the verge of another losing streak.

My guess is on the second goal they didn’t review since it’s goalie interference but you have to have the refs overturn it. They clearly just pointed to nurse making the contact and called it as so even though he’s pushed in.

2nd GA Tkachuk rides Nurse into Pickard it looked like. Probably why the challenge wasn’t made.

3rd GA tough screen for Pickard. Bad rebounds can happen when you can’t see the puck.

Not only that but there was 2 Panther plays just sitting in front of Pickard and no one picked them up at all

Team looks awful tonight. Was worried about the residual effects of how the team lost against the Lightning and was worried it could send them into a tailspin.

Which is so frustrating and stupid. Every team is going to have one of those games, and it shouldn't make you fall into a depressed slumber.

Just seeing the score. This was my worry after the Tampa game, that it broke them. Team is streaky and mentally fragile. I worry that the season spirals out of control on this road trip.
They 100% know they are going nowhere with these two. No matter what they do.

2GA eerily similar to what Bolts did to Skinner to get him bothered right before a shot. We should do the same shit back. Only really Kane has that type of game tho, but it should be ingrained into the system.

While this isn't all on Pickard, I'm glad the
"We need to play our ahl goalie more" crowd is getting what they wanted

There's a reason the guy hasn't been a starter since 2017...
What has he done thats bad?
First goal, impossible for him to do anything on except a crazy one in a million save.
Second one he gets completely interfered with, wether its because of his own player or the panthers player, theyre in his crease, physically stopping him from moving infront of the puck.
On the third goal, the puck gets tipped a few feet away from him and he cant control the rebound, which isnt to expected considering the tip.

What do you expect him to do?

Exactly. Those of us concerned about that read it as that. This was another gut punch to the team who again look out of sync tonight and no longer confident on puck, no longer making plays. Florida all over us.

The good news is its only one period.

Team was fragile and Skinner through the two pts away, thats not a casual thing. Could impact greatly.

Disgusting period by Draisaitl. Dreadful really.
