I don't think so, I think he got caught deciding to play the puck or drop back, and ended up doing neither
 
I feel like the leafs have played a decent game but they have gotten away a bit from the focus they had last series. Marner was terrible on first panther goal and Brodie/McCabe costing us as well.

I'm looking ahead at needing 12 more wins and Liljegren has carried his awkward defence we saw in the regular season into this game. One bad series doesn't mean Lil plays better D than Holl. All it means is Holl had a bad series.

its not really one series though. It's almost his entire time as a leaf. And being on the ice for 14 of 18 goals is just awful. Even if Liljegren has looked a little iffy on defense, he hasn't been on the ice for the vast majority of the goals against the Leafs.

It's one of those things where the results should always speak louder. I don't care if he looks like shit if he's not on the ice for 80 percent of the goals against us.

Sure. But expectations are high. We need Willy to maximize opportunities that leverage his strengths.
Wicked shot and wicked speed. The way Keefe coaches, Tkachuk would suck.

Stay away from the brain farts and bad matchups and they'll be fine.
 
How many times are they going to mention Verhaeghe being drafted by the leafs and playing in the ECHL? 8000-9000?

Oh I"m not saying I think he's been good at all. Quite the opposite. It's strange though he looked great early in the tampa series. Hopefully he brings it back around.
 
I've noticed the Leafs fall and trip over their skates a lot this game. It's really weird
