That last shift was less-than-great, but yeah, I agree. He's been fine for most of the night and even created a few chances in the offensive zone.

Nylander is a bigger issue. The thought actually popped into my head that he might be injured. Because he really doesn't look like himself out there.
Willy hasn't been horrible. He has been asked to do shit that isn't leveraging his strength.
It is simple...make him the primary shooter....give him a defensively capable guy and a guy who can grind.
O'Reilly, Willy and Knies. Looked good before. Lifts Willy to elite by letting him play to his elite strengths.

I feel a whole lot better going into P3 / GM1 of series 2 than I did going into P3 / GM 1 of series 1.

I don't need a rebuttal.

I'm seeing bad breakout passes, bad transition defense, and bad pinches. His skating has been questionable beside an aging Gio.

This offered as much insight as your opinion.

His shot selection and some of his decisions in his own end have been questionable, he has caused a few turnovers that luckily have not ended up in our net.

You’re in the minority. Not really sure what else to say. Maybe you’ve got the numbers mixed up.

I mean... it's better than -7

Sure +/- is often a meme but there's a point where it's so lopsided you gotta wonder.
I'm not defending Holl against Tampa. He sucked. These other children replying to me are too immature to understand me.

I'm looking ahead at needing 12 more wins and Liljegren has carried his awkward defence we saw in the regular season into this game. One bad series doesn't mean Lil plays better D than Holl. All it means is Holl had a bad series.

Would be nice if our dominant shutdown D pair didn't consistently have brainfarts leading to goals against.

As soon as the playoff started Brodie went from the safest guy on the ice to a pumpkin.

I’m hoping he’s playing injured and not choking.

I never said he’s scared of contact.

Nylander that’s going at 50% is still our best forward at creating space. The time goes slow when he’s got the puck on his stick.

I think ROR as his C with Tavares as the other winger would be way better. Those two guys will go and grab him the puck from the corners.
No you didn't and I was just making a general observation.

He needs to be better tonight.

Marner could be better tonight as well.

As a whole I find the Leafs to be playing well.

Poor 5 mins to end 1st and a bad decision at the end of 2nd.

Play like this all series and they should be good

Sammy has been good but that 3rd goal was iffy. Nylander has been a standout disappointment this game though. He's really lucky Bunting scored on the next play because skating himself away from a wide open net was a terrible look for him and he's been known to do things like that from time to time.

All in all that 2nd period was good. If not for one braindead play by brodie we would be tied. This panthers team is definitely a team that we can score a goal or two against but we can't let the next one in. Eventually this coming back in the 3rd isn't going to work like it did and we can't rely on it. This Panthers team can also put the puck in the net.

Also f*** me, why did big money Bob have to show up for the Panthers?

disagree.

I think you have a bias.

William Nylander is literally my favorite player on the team.

I know your assumption is painfully wrong.

You aren't getting a free pass when you refuse to take a clear straight lane to the net in the regular season, let alone the second round of the playoffs.
