No, but if they start taking runs at our goalie, or any other shit that they do, at least let's see the players who are on the ice at least give it back, especially if it's Matthews, Marner, Nylander, or JT. I think MT takes some shots at 16 tonight. Why wouldnt he? Nobody is gonna do anything about it, especially 16. And if it does draw some leaf players into it, its really just playing into the Panthers game. So, lose lose for the leafs

Say what you want about Maurice - and most of it is bang-on - but his ripping into his team on the bench last year kick-started the Panthers drive to the Cup final.

If Sheldon ever had the stones to attack his team publicly like that he'd be called into Shanahan's office first thing the next morning and two minutes later he'd be apologizing to his players at a press conference. Such is life in an organization where the stars are treated like royalty and everyone must bow before them (and this is the culture set by MLSE, not the players though it's clearly affecting their approach: Being prima donnas).

Probably a clue there on why Florida got so close last year and this team, failures year in and year out.

So far the core 4, Shanny, Keefe and Dubas have been given plenty of rope and if not for the Dubas' PP, all would still be here. So Keefe still has plenty of rope.

It's not even non-stop optimism. It's like I'm the only one who remembers that this team finished fifth overall in the league last season and fourth overall the season prior, with largely the same key players. The idea that it has suddenly devolved into mediocrity 19 games into the season is non-sensical. This was the same talk after the slow start last season, and then everyone changed their tune when the team rebounded. I am betting the exact same thing will happen this season.

It's not fun being a GTA sports fan lately. Leafs are mid, Raps a treadmill directionless team, Jays are the biggest disappointment in all of baseball, the Bills are .500 and will likely miss the playoffs and the Argos and TFC aren't even worth discussing.

Argos are always worth discussing except by self-hating GTA Canadians.

Calling it right now, removing Marner is going to get Matthews going back to his elite form. Will be back to a strangle hold to win the Rocket by Christmas.

Marner should sit on the third line where he belongs. Mickey Mouse Marner is, in my opinion, the largest anchor on this team. Tons of talent, 0 IQ.

Reinhart and Bennett both played.

Ottawa sucks and a good team like the Panthers steamed rolled them .

Ottawa got tired of losing and seeing their goalie constantly being run so they fought back.

Maybe we watched different things. I saw an Ottawa team that had a whopping 20 shots on net and never once (in the time that I watched) threatened to score. Then there was a reckless play by an Ottawa grinder and a bunch of garbage time penalties. This was the same Florida team that played a similarly lifeless game against Winnipeg two nights earlier. Who knows, maybe Florida was more serious last night relative to Saturday night. Or maybe they just played a really bad Ottawa team.

We should probably more concerned than some of us are then .
