Only for those too young to remember ties. I'd agrees with the whole "loser point" thing if they played the extra time using the the same rules as the actually 60 min game.
They're 5 - 6 -8 in actually hockey games. That's not the record of a contender.
*note - your comment on the games played is fair though. Let's see how the next 4 go
I disagree. I am old enough to remember ties and I think loser point is a clear reference to the point still collected in a losing effort. Winning the game and collecting the second point isn’t a loser point (even if I dislike 3v3 and shootout and also don’t consider it real hockey)
