Yeah a lot of red flags to his game and approach right now. When he scored the goals in the Tampa game and told the crowd to wake up, that’s more the exception than the norm with him. Just has no fire and the longer his goal drought the more he completely forgets how to play the game.
All athletes suffer from confidence breakdowns, but for the life of me I can't figure out why it becomes so prolonged or evident with the Leafs top players.

Quite possibly it doesn't and I just don't watch other teams as closely.

Matthews at least was much better in the second.

Keefe needs to go off on #34. Honest question you think Matthews has broken a sweat this game ?

Nylander had 2 glorious chances, inches away from going in. I dunno about that one.
True. Forgot about that one shift. I feel like I noticed Nylander every single time he was on the ice in Sweden and leading up to then. More quiet with the exception of that shift still imo.

Like Matthews is clearly in a rut, same with Marner. He deserves criticism. But he was also on fire early in the season and playing like an MVP.

I wouldn't jump on the guy just because he's had a rough last few games. He'll bounce back.
