lol crap, had no idea.

Ducharme has to prove he can win without 2 superstars in the Q first. Not saying he is a bad coach, but Halifax won on the backs of it's superstars.
I'd love Oates or Boucher too but I doubt it happens because these guys want head coaching jobs and that might add undue pressure on MT and the coaching staff.
I'd think Lefebvre might be an option from Hamilton which might open a spot for a good coach from the Q to come in and take over the Dogs.
My favorite pick of all would have been Robinson. Still bothers me that he wasn't hired when he asked for a chance at the job. Class, history with the Habs dynasty, multiple championships, respected by all and a great coach.
Did he? Everything I heard was that he does not want to be the HC in SJ. If TMac ever moves on, I'd love for Robinson to become our HC in SJ. He's an awesome coach, and has worked wonders with an otherwise unremarkable defence (aside from Vlasic).
He asked to be the assistant coach but insisted he had no interest in the head coaching job. We hired Daigneault instead...
Ah, so basically a similar situation to what he's doing in SJ, even though he's technically an "associate" coach. I don't think he wants the pressure of a head coaching job, and seeing as how good he's been in his current role, I wouldn't mess with a good thing.
Exactly. He's also been promoted in San Jose to director of player development. A job Martin Lapoint has with the Habs.
If I had my choice of which guy I wanted to help develop my prospects, I'd take Big Bird hands down.
Gallant did the same job Muller use to do. I like this guy and I hope he gets the job in Florida. Maybe was can bring Kirk back....

According to one team source and one NHL source, Gerard Gallant already might be the frontrunner for Panthers head coach.

Maybe Lefebvre will replace him
I'd be thrilled if Muller came back. Probably my favorite assistant coach post lockout.

He is in STL now.
He will be assistant coach for the Blues next season.
EDIT: Someone beat me to it...
Heard on TSN1050 that Gerard Gallant is among four others that includes Dan Bylsma, Bill Peters, Marc Crawford and Ron Wilson in the final running for the Panthers head coaching job.
Jimmy Murphy: “I have confirmed through an NHL source that Gerard Gallant is very close to becoming the new head coach of the Florida Panthers.â€
“Per that same source, Panthers coaching job was down to Gallant or Dan Byslma but as of now it appears the job is Gallant’s.â€
