I'm lucky I live in Phoenix then. We have a local team too, who I also support, but their presence in the media barely even exists.

If I want hockey news/talk I have to go looking for it. When I do, it invariably leads me to HF Boards.

What drew you to the Habs and into browsing HF Habs, if you don't mind me asking? It's really cool that you got into this team from Phoenix!

1) Well, that's what the 4-official system was "supposed" to resolve. They're in position now, it just doesn't seem to help with them actually seeing everything... I've been the lone referee in a 3-official system before though. It's a metric **** ton of skating.

2) I'll just grab them by the ear and pretend to be their mother. Close enough?

He's playing his 8th game in 2 years. We'll see, but I'm not sure he can regain his game shape in time at 37.

Yeah I didn't look that much into it :-p I was just surprised to see his name pop up, haven't heard of him in a while.

Yeah, close enough. It's not like you really need anything to support the Habs, though. A lot of people don't even watch the games and consider themselves "fans" and have an opinion on everything (some are even on TV, mind you). So, yeah, you're off to a pretty good start with those "qualifications"

Markov/Eller is not a good combo. They should re-unite Eller with Gorges and Markov with Subban. That goal was as much on Eller as it was on Markov, lazy play by Markov and Eller too slow coming in to close the passing lane.

I first started watching hockey in the 2001-02 season. Being in the USA, at the time, pretty much every NHL playoff game was on ESPN or ESPN2 at the time. I took a particular liking to the Habs for no apparent reason those playoffs.

I didn't discover online streams until 2011, and didn't join HF until 2012, but the Habs section always intimidated me so I didn't come here at first. I bought GCL this season, and discovered watching the Habs on RDS. That sucked me in even more than I already was.

I can't make sense of it, but starting from last year's playoffs until now, I can't help but be invested in the team emotionally. Can't make sense of emotions, right?
