I'm lucky I live in Phoenix then. We have a local team too, who I also support, but their presence in the media barely even exists.

If I want hockey news/talk I have to go looking for it. When I do, it invariably leads me to HF Boards.

Yeah, you're lucky for that but for the weather too  As for hockey, not only is it almost the only thing they talk about in sports news, but they also have a huge place in the news. Hell, even Canal D (kinda like Discovery Channel) has a hockey show now (24CH). Habs are everywhere, it's crazy.

It's nice to see dedicated fans like you, so far away from Montreal, though. Even if I'm a pretty big hockey fan, I can't see myself rooting for another team (except the occasional one that faces the Bruins/Leafs in the playoffs ), even as a second team.

He was on the goal, otherwise he's been solid. Definitely not as good without Subban, but not worth burying.

Markov/Eller is not a good combo. They should re-unite Eller with Gorges and Markov with Subban. That goal was as much on Eller as it was on Markov, lazy play by Markov and Eller too slow coming in to close the passing lane.

Hey, Stubby, shouldn't Thomas remind you of Bower ?

Is Stubby blind ? His glasses seem mighty strong.

Eller? You mean...Emelin?

At this point, I'd take an Eller clone over Emelin to actually play defence.... Speaking of clones, can we get a few of Bournivals? He is the perfect grinder. Good hands, skating and so much IQ.

Thanks for the compliment.

I really have no real logical reason to like the Habs. I'm francophone and my great grandmother was from somewhere in Quebec. Close enough? :dunno:

There was a save Price made in the first and then he didn't get up right away. Thought maybe he hurt himself but so far no indication. Then I read Wilde mention his groin.

Debateable. Problem is, if I got tossed into the NHL, my undoing would be 1 of 2 things:

1) If tossed in as a referee, I'm not a good enough skater to actually keep up with the play and stay in position.

2) If tossed in as a linesman... let me just say LOL @ me trying to break up scuffles between NHL players, which is half of a linesman's real duties, albeit unwritten.
1. Sounds like most refs.
2. If you can't break it up by grabbing them just bite them instead.
