I’m more concerned about Cozens now than I was all last year when I was concerned about Cozens the whole year. Quinn and Kulich getting going around him is nice…but man…they’re doing it around him. We know he needs his wingers to drive the line…but he’s not even going with them right now. His play around the net is…the worst I’ve ever seen? Literally? He needs to move to wing…get off the pp…and, honestly, be on the third line when Peterka gets back. No I don’t like Kulich at center given his level of experience in this league. Yes I would do it to avoid watching Cozens cast anchor on that line for one more shift.

Who the hell is Patrick Giles and why is he showing at 7:34 for the Panthers? I don't think I heard his name on either broadcast at all. At least Malenstyn had that strong shift in the third.

He’ll stop trying so hard or he’ll sit like benson sat not covering the slot on cougars first goal. He’s shown enough flashes. If not McLeod takes his spot and he gets easier reps. Mr ruff has got yr back. No worries

So we'll have to see if there's any word why Benson and Malenstyn played so little....Benson especially in the 2nd and 3rd.

I can kind of understand if they were wanting to manage Benson's injury a bit......but there's no real reason for Malenstyn to have only gotten 3 shifts against a physical Florida team.......

Regarding Malenstyn - Ruff said he wanted to roll 3 lines since they could empty the tank with no game until Wednesday.

The blue line drove the bus tonight. Getting in on the forecheck, covering in the right places at the right time. Levi is cool as the other side of the pillow. All around team effort. Feels good to watch these. Let's keep it up boys.

People were upset about trading Byram for Mittelstadt. I don’t think the problem was getting Byram I think the problem was we traded the wrong center.

His hockey IQ is not good and I don’t think he’s skilled enough to make up the difference. Its been going on over a year now.

Went out for a date with the Wife tonight.

Just got done watching the game now on a recording.

Some observations in no particular order:

Panthers really missing Tkachuk and Barkov. Not just their play on the ice, but their leadership and mindset really rubs off on the rest of the team and it was noticeably lacking tonight.

We absolutely stifled them at 5v5 for most of the game, especially in the 2nd and 3rd. That's 2 opponents in a row.

Our PP is still a tiny flaccid pp. It might be an inny at this point

Quinn looked alive for the first time. Got into some dangerous areas and had some good looks.

Kulich with a whiff on a wide open net. 2nd? whiff like that on the season for him.

I don’t even know how to explain Owen Power as a player to a casual watcher. He had 0’s all across the stat sheet but he is so good.

The way he makes plays and molds the opponent into breaking down exactly how he wants them in order to open up the ice for his teammates, or to get the puck out, or to keep a play alive. It’s so impressive.

He’s always had good underlying numbers but he’s taken a quantum leap to the eye test this year. He looks incredible.
