We have Torts going on record - I repeat - we have Torts going on record multiple times that they don't practice offense, they don't practice the power play.

Why oh why is he being paid to be a coach? What we have then is a motivational speaker. Bring in someone who has structure, who doesn't shift players game in and game out, who doesn't have a narrow list of friends who can improve the PP or PK.

I'm sorry but the man has become an albatross.

Seriously. I don't know how you can defend this. Jam grind jam and pray for a goal. Real great strategy.

Let's cut the nastiness people, seriously. Sick of coming on here and seeing certain posters attack others because they don't agree with their opinion. The lack of respect is getting old. We're all Ranger fans here.

really starting to lose patience with this group. how is lundqvist outplayed by Markstrom? really? what kind of play was that on the PP with our goalie pulled? a telegraphed slapshot right at a defender, blocked and shot back down the ice.

this team has zero collective offensive intelligence. they make the most predictable, pedestrian moves.

they suck.

I don't really have much to compliment this game. It was an extremely odd combination of looking pretty bad despite out shooting the opposition greatly and spending a majority of the game above center ice.

I thought Gaborik and Callahan played well. I thought Hagelin was OK.

I think the important thing to remember is that Markstrom is a pretty good prospect. I've always thought he was the "next" special goalie at the NHL level. I don't have a problem losing to him 2-1, it's how we got there. Gaborik and Cally were the only players going in front and even then, we didn't get off shots while they were there.

This new Rangers Extra bull**** really pisses me off. I don't need an extra 20 minutes of Al and the gang, and Rangers "super super super duper the best ever super slo-mo"

Just give me Torts and Hank, and be done with it.

Dave has a good hockey mind . I remember being with my dad and my dad only guy defending him as the boo birds consistently abused him in our old section .shame he has no interest in coaching seems like an upbeat positive guy . Unlike a Napoleanic ECHLer egomaniac . What does Dave know he was in this league at 18 and Captain of the team . Give him he team

Girardi with a braindead play on the 1st PP goal by the Panthers. Had a chance for a clear. Instead, passes it right to Huberdeau, and it eventually winds up in the back of the net.

Very true. I don't want to sell this goalie short. Florida seems to be very high on him.

I also definitely agree with you though on how it really just wasn't a team effort. Gabby and Callahan played solid enough. Hagelin was on ice for what seemed like the entire game. Stepan had himself a quiet one.

i don't think nash meant to do what he did, but man if that didn't look awful. getting at least a game, probably 2-4. stupid, stupid play.

Do you know how many goals this team scored in the past 6 games? 6.
Do you know that this "team" hasn't scored a goal in the third period in 5 games?

This system is clearly not cutting it with this group.

Either open the offense up or get the skilled players out of here, and get grinders in here who can play in this type of "system".
Can't have a combination of 3 talented players and 9 muckers and grinders.

Girardi is what he is. A phenomenal physical defenseman. But as soon as he gets the puck on his stick he is a disaster...you can see why he went undrafted. Honestly, out of him, Staal, McDonagh, and Del Zotto, he'd be the first I'd be willing to trade...the only problem being that he is the only Righty out of the four.

My belief is that the extra man on the attack would not really add a measurable extra level of scoring threat, while the wide open net was an invitation waiting for the inevitable exploit.

I agree in theory but did you see our first 2 power plays...they were horrendous

We need to play the our strengths. They forecheck fine just fine. We need some coaching change.
