That was ****ing infuriating.

For the second time this week, Budaj makes at least one save and we're talking about a good performance instead of wondering where we're drafting. Instead, he can't stop a ****ing beach ball and the whole team collapses.

Someone earlier pointed out this team isn't mentally strong since 2014 and while I don't disagree I'd say games like this are a whole different ballgame. Once the soft goals start going in, they don't stop. Everyone stops trusting the system and it all goes to ****.

Maybe after another game or two send Kempe down. Now he's knows what he's up against, what more to work on, and how much stronger he needs to get. He's only 20.

LaDue, I'd be shocked if he ever goes down again. He's a sponge. It's also not easy to look good when you're 'the guy' on a pairing with erratic McNabb.
 
I'd send Kempe down but keep LaDue up. He's the same age as Forbort, Gravel and McNabb. We'll probably lose a defenseman in the expansion draft. Might as well get some experience now as long as he can hang because we'll need him to play the middle right side at some point next year.
 
Did they even get a shot in the last minute? Do they have a goal this year with the goalie pulled? How about the last 2 years? It's too much like a PP. I can see why Sutter doesn't bother.

That's now 17-25 in regulation this year. Tied with Detroit for 24th in regulation losses. 21st ranked home record. Tough when you can't win at home. Kopitar has 2 home goals, which is 3 less than Lewis, 2 less than King, 1 less than Setoguchi, and tied with Clifford, Shore, McNabb, and Toffoli.
 
****ing frustrating. Budaj gives up the softest goal possible and the team mentally collapses. The last 5 minutes were rage inducing no urgency or aggressiveness at all. Florida is hot but still, this is a game we should've won

Yeah, I usually don't have confidence against Anaheim but I do against Florida. We could have won with better goaltending. (Love ya, Buds.)

I've been watching Jarret Stoll learn the ropes and hey, Sean O'Donnell is good. He's a natural.

McElhinney had a .890sv% last year. Hammond has Zatkoff-like numbers this year. Condon has the same career numbers as Zatkoff does. There was no reason to think Zatkoff was going to be terrible. There's no guarantee anyone else wouldn't be the same. Budaj is struggling again.

Could Lombardi have done that? I guess? Should Lombardi give up another draft pick for a team that had plenty of questions coming into the season? Few want him to do anything for a rental.

Why do people claim things like "uninspired play" etc just because they lose? The skaters worked their ***** off out there tonight. Its a 3-2 league. Crappy goaltending is a killer.
 
They just can't catch up with themselves. Everything on this team is getting canceled out by something this year. Carter/Kopitar. Pearson/Gaborik. Budaj/Zatkoff. Win 5 in a row, lose 4 out of the next 5.

That sounds pretty good right now. Your not actually looking for a starter, just someone to step in as a backup and relieve some pressure. Budaj is second in the league in GP. Absurd.
 
Even if this team makes the playoffs, they are first round toast.

Quick is their only hope now which is a lot to put on a guy who has played half a game this year.
