That was my thought in my first post in this thread. Maybe Calgary will retain and you can get him for $5 million per.Bring him back to Colorado please.

What would you even offer? Colton and some other pieces?Bring him back to Colorado please.
I could see it happening and that's funny to me for the following reason:Perfect 3rd line center for the sabers
it would have to be colton, girard or nuke just to try and make the cap workWhat would you even offer? Colton and some other pieces?
He actually played great last year. But he made it clear he wasn’t interested in going through a rebuild. The contract in which he is paid a ton of money to his late 30s isn't working out!?

Marner + 23rd
Andersson + Kadri +
Realistically wont be back to toronto. One of My favourite players so would love him bacm but doubt he or leafs would make it work
lol Marner isn't waiving for Calgary nor would the Flames even want him given they're clearly rebuildingMarner + 23rd

He's actually been more than worth the money so far at least. It's the rest of the team that didn't work out.The contract in which he is paid a ton of money to his late 30s isn't working out!?

I could see Columbus being interested
They are gonna get a lot for an aging center with an very long contract, no doubt.
lol whatFlames wouldn't retain. He's worth more than 7m right now.
You'll just have to deal with it at a future point when he's no longer worth it. Ltir most likely
What? I said yes, you will have to deal with the end of his contract when he won't be worth 7 millionlol what
you're not acquiring him just right now. you're acquiring the whole contract. what freak logic is this
Bah gawd, thats Lou Lamariello's music! What GMs may be on the hot seat and not all that concerned about a contract that they potentially won't be there to deal with on the back end?
Those are your huckleberries, I imagine
Acquiring team just needs to have an understanding that he'll develop a debilitating equipment allergy in 3 or 4 years. Whatever perfectly coincides with his play dropping off. Worked well for the Hawks.I think the kadri thing is interesting because he's still playing at a damn fine level. But you're absolutely going to have to buy that contract out at some point. I don't believe any NHL team thinks otherwise. It's a ticking time bomb.
