Welcome Back!!!
Well your not playing defense when your playing at the other end waiting to score or be getting assist. Defense needs to hit their man not wander around trying to poke check like a blind man with a cane or cross check guys from behind into boards and whine to ref why you got a penalty. Just my opinion

In regards to Flint game all I'm going to say was that was a total team effort we had maybe 3 guys that wanted to play and I'll leave it at that. To call the season a Dumpster Fire is in my opinion a little bit dramatic lets see how the team responds tonight. I think everyone myself at the front of the line wants to see an addition on the back end a guy that is strong on the defensive side and moves the puck out of our end.

I think the LeBlanc twins on Sarnia would be an intriguing package. Depth at forward and an upgrade on D? Sarnia bought them cheap out of Niagara and should sell them for a profit if they put them on the market. They are both likely OA candidates next season. Not sure what it would cost to acquire them but shouldn't break the bank I wouldn't think. That might be the sort of deal Owen Sound would have interest in.

Not sure there's much out there that would make sense in terms of asset cost and what Owen Sound could offer.

Although a win I feel the team needs a big shake up maybe a trade. Gota expect something coming soon.

Sting fan here… nice power play!!! Wow!!
Sure don’t want to take penalties against you guys!!
I feel like you got the short end of the stick lol. The PP has been buzzing the last couple games and nothing to show for it but everything went in tonight. They've been due to score on the PP but I don't think anyone would have expected them to connect for 4 PP markers in a game.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. The market hasn't really started to move yet and the Attack won't be at the forefront with how limited our trade assets are. Might not be anything trade related until closer to the deadline. The team will be alright if they can get the offense firing at a clip that is more in line with expectations.

Tonight's game was really a tale of two games.

A 1st and 3rd periods the team really took over the game with shots and chances the 2nd seems to continue to be our shaky period. Seems like the special teams game is really starting to click and start to look like they have momentum starting to roll. Especially when you go perfect on the man advantage like tonight going (4/4) on the PP and (2/2) down a man.

Tomorrow is a new day and a new game versus the Knights. Hopefully the momentum in this win can carryover into tomorrow's game back in the Bayshore.

The refs "made up" the poor decision to send Guindon to the box for someone else's penalty. It cost the Sting.

Anyone else want to see some other dimensions to Barlow's game? I know Ovechkin has made a living from the same spot as Barlow. I'd love to see some more tools in his toolbox.

It's been a weird start for Barlow. He's clearly not clicking yet. I think the majority of his goals are off his one timer. He's a guy who usually does a lot of his damage from the net front fighting for rebounds or deflections and we haven't seen that yet. He got off to a slow start last season too so hopefully it will come for him. He's still producing but I think there's higher expectations when everybody knows he's one of the best goal scorers in the league.

I think Colby and Deni need to be split up.
They both want the puck , to run the line.
Sometimes it can be shared.
Other than the quick strike early, it was all PP.
That won't happen every night, so let's take it and move forward.
I like the coach has left the lines intact for longer than a shift.

But I think there should be some changes, that benefit the top 6. =
39-18-11
29-7-10
27-8-22
Mix and match the 4th line

I like the line combos you suggested. The third line has been a bit of a stabilizer in providing reliable minutes and I don't think they need to play around with that one. The line of Burroughs - Goure - Barlow doesn't work for me either. Burroughs and Goure together is a nice combo but Barlow is an odd fit on that line. It's tough to split up the Hookey - Guindon - Petrovsky line right now as I think that's been their best consistently but they need to get Barlow firing on all cylinders and Guindon is probably the best fit with him to get it done. I might swap Hookey and Petrovsky from your combo and try a line of Hookey - Guindon -Barlow and have Burroughs- Goure - Petrovsky as line 2. I think Hookey could create space and cause havoc around the net to give Guindon and Barlow more room to work Goure on line two should feast against lesser quality defensive players. I do appreciate the coaching staff giving the players some time to adjust to each other when they do adjust lines, that's been refreshing.

That's a tough way to lose a hockey game. I thought they played well and really applied a lot of pressure in the second and third periods. A late mistake in D-zone coverage was the difference.

Despite the loss, the team played well enough .
They are really missing a stud shut down dman for situations like the last two minutes.
Not having one in their collection of 8, is a shortcoming that'll need to be addressed .
Sooner the better .

For sure. As was pointed out above, they will win more games than they lose with that kind of performance and effort. Stings even worse when it's the Knights lol.

The D core is a mixed bag for me. There's some nice pieces to work with but it definitely feels at times they have some players playing roles that they are maybe a little miscast for. Adding a D upgrade would definitely be welcome and allow the coaching staff to better align the pieces on the chess board, putting guys in better situations for success. I wouldn't mind seeing a little bit of bite on the blueline either. There's really not much physicality on the Attack back end outside of the occasional Jordan hit.

Apparently the league didn't like the old school center ice scrap from last night. Both combatants picked up 3 game bans. Shame for Stewart as he's been playing great lately. I thought they may let that slide as it didn't take place immediately off the face off but no dice.

Sedley shouldn’t be on the ice under a minute left in a tie game or up one.. he is a liability in the D zone.. he was way out of position on that game winning goal..
