I agree, he could be moved, but the chance of a huge return now that others have made the move first is limited. You did play better without him, which i a gree is super odd, but it happens. Call me crazy, but he has been getting run each game since his return and again on Saturday. Noone has done anything about it, and on tv he was visibly hurt after a hard check by a guelph player. I thought he had the same limp in his stride after that which i noticed before he sat out with is ailing back. Hope not, but just what i noticed.
He was fine yesterday

I thought I noticed something in his stride, the same thing i thought i noticed before he left the lineup injured last time. Guess not and glad he is healthy

Even if it was a possibility the price tag would likely be steep... would think too rich for our GM's taste.
The ownership doesn't want those 8 pick deals, nor should they really.

Does it make sense to trade Jake Crawford, Gabe Smith and Harry Nansi for a guy who isn't a point a game and 19? Not a chance.

Team drafts too well not to have those bullets in the chamber.

Attack's issue is more internal then anything, they need the horses to step up and get going, alot of the guys have been average this year thus far.

The players you named cannot be traded this year

Thats not what Im saying,

Im saying every time you trade away a top 4 round pick, your trading away a potential Jake Crawford, Gabe Smith or Harry Nansi. You can do it the odd time, but 8 picks for one player? There's no way you should trade 8 potential young kids for a guy whose gone in 3 months.

Pretty sure we're likely outa the race so to speak now when it comes to trading and finding a partner with what we have to offer. Unless of course there is another way that doesn't rely on so many picks, even if it is the case it's going to take 2 younger roster guys plus likely the 3 or 4 potential picks we have in order to get anything worth going after. It is quite a shame but justinflation (sorry had to) I mean inflation has been horrendous due to the mem cup being In the O this year.
I do hope the players can turn it around with what we have. It is a special line up even if it hasn't panned out to well so far. Just hope they don't get disappointed about only going half in and not all the way. Really though in terms of Dale Degray this is more like an all the way kinda move they did really. I'm hopeful something changes before tomorrow afternoon but I just dont think it will.

Eh, picks are like currency and you have to have chips to play. When we are contending whats wrong with shipping out picks one year then selling and recouping those the next? I agree drafting is important but you cant let clinging onto 4th round picks stop you from going for a championship

4th round picks won't buy a championship in the OHL.

Have a look at players changing hands, and the amount of picks, and rounds they are going for .

The value of picks is grossly under rated now .

I won't get into why the Attack doesn't get into these crazy deals . It's public knowledge .

This is what we might see this morning .

Its not a single 4th round pick, its every pick between now and 2027 like the Battalion just did. 4, a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th for a player that sits on the 3rd line.

If you can get player who can contribute for a 4th round pick, awesome.

As of today, we've got a 3rd line player whose capable of 30 goals .

According to Matt Hermiz no more deals for OS... Quite disappointing.. but I guess the costs were just mental which likely lead to it.

Picks change hands like crazy in this league and are very recoupable. Its not like the Battalion wont draft until 2028. If you go all in one year you can sell the next and have a full cupboard.

I think the Attack ultimately could have used another D but none of the pieces moved that you'd consider upgrades were within our price range. I think it ultimately came down to this being the best we could do/afford. Konnor Smith is the exact type of D we were missing and we got it. Sam McCue is a solid top 9 forward add. The price was steep but inline based off other moves made around the league. Now it's time to see if this team can start to come together as a group and make some strides heading into the playoffs. Home ice seems out of reach which may be a blessing in disguise based on the Attack's struggles at home vs the success on the road.

Enjoy the ride for the rest of the season. We know what's coming next year, pain. Take a shot and if this group peaks at the right time, go on a run this year.
