I realize you don't have any real major assets that dale is wanting to trade, but the spread has just become wider between you guys and the othere "players.
Pretty sure we can all see that. I was totally on the sell train but since We didn't go that route we need to do something but I feel our options are pretty limited and will likely wind up being along the lines of last years Hookey trade If anything. Which like I said the other day isn't enough to make us real contenders.

Was just looking up Attack prospects and thought I'd post an update on a few that caught my eye:

Lucas Prud'homme(07) - St Andrew's College - 6'2" 201lbs - 32GP 9G 14A 23P 78PIMS
(Would be a big get for next year if possible)
Matthew Koprowski(07) - Komoka Kings - 6'3" 181lbs - 24GP 4.44GAA .888S% 1-17 record
(really not a good team)
Zach Major(06) - West Nipissing Lynx - 6'2" 192lbs - 25GP 4G 30A 34P 27PIMS
Aidan Renaud(06) - Listowel Cyclones - 5'11" 176lbs - 32GP 4G 11A 15P 42PIMS
Philip Roberto(06) - Niagara Falls Canucks - 6'0" 187lbs - 31GP 0G 7A 7P 101PIMS
Trenton Bennett(06) - Stratford Warriors - 6'7" 174lbs - 9GP 2.56GAA .901S% 5-0-2 record
- St Thomas Stars - 5GP 3.60GAA .916S% 2-3-0 record

A curious thought came across my mind last night being that the OA deadline is today. Has anyone got an update on Sedley? I know he finished the game in Niagara but sat out against Guelph due to injury. It would for sure put DD in a bind if it is a long term injury by chance. I kinda assume it's a day to day thing seeing that he finished the one game.

They said post game Saturday it's a day to day injury and he could be back as early as Wednesday against Flint.

I'd entertain the idea and try some counter moves with the pieces brought in. The teams honestly played better with out him in the line up more often then not which is an odd thing to say. I think he's a great player and it's nothing against him but I would of entertained the idea especially with the price of everything

I agree, he could be moved, but the chance of a huge return now that others have made the move first is limited. You did play better without him, which i a gree is super odd, but it happens. Call me crazy, but he has been getting run each game since his return and again on Saturday. Noone has done anything about it, and on tv he was visibly hurt after a hard check by a guelph player. I thought he had the same limp in his stride after that which i noticed before he sat out with is ailing back. Hope not, but just what i noticed.

I think they may need a back up in a few weeks when George goes to the prospect game, I could see Koprowski signed at that point.

How healthy is he
They just bought, why would they then sell days later?

Players are hit all the time, its part of hockey, there is an element of playing through it as well. Your boy Stewart his kids all the time, not every hit needs or deserves a responce, its not 1981.

I mean if we think about it, Sedley was smoked last year by McCue and Stewart didn't really do anything about it either, so thats proof right there.

With the addition of Smith, Hookey, Steward and even McCue, there is no team on our side that has as much toughness now.

I'm thinking it's most likely just an EBUG situation. Koprowski would make sense but they could have singed him to a B-card as a 3rd string goalie previously and haven't yet so I'm leaning towards that not happening. At least not yet. Maybe a summer/camp decision next year, especially if they draft another 16 year old goalie. George projects to play the bulk of the games while he's here in Owen Sound so maybe they look to stager the ages with an 08 back up next year?

In general, getting Koprowski a break from Komoka would probably be welcome for the player lol. What a record that team has.

I think its pretty impressive that the kid has decent numbers on that team. Save percentage anyways.

With limited picks I hope they don't take another goalie high, they used a 4th on this guy and he seems to be doing pretty well given his environment. Its not like they are as good as St Mary's last year with George.

How did Stewart come in to this? He would have a tough time respond to that hit as he wasn't on the ice. If you are talking about last year, Barlow got murdered in the last game I believe and Jordan had to be yelled at by his teammates to even engage. Noone would pull anything about stewart out of my comments about Barlow getting hit continuously or my take on his ailing back.
Mccue for the recordis similiar to his brother, a bit of a rat, 1 career fight to his name. I think it was a good trade for you, but anyway. Maybe you need to take your focus off "my boy" and look a the the other comments i make

We have our 1st and two 3rds in the '24 draft. I agree it would seem unlikely to take a goalie there but you never know. Koprowski certainly profiles as a guy of interest to the Attack and I would imagine he should be the back up next year but there also doesn't project to be a lot of playing time behind George either which might be a factor. Koprowski has played a lot and as you stated, pretty good numbers all things considered with where he plays.

They brought in Stewart to hold players accountable, McCue kills Sedley in the playoffs and over the next few games he did not do anything, nor has he this year, that's an issue. You can respond later in the game or in the season. I find your comments to be inconsonant, you are harder on some players then others.

Its not 1980, players need to be able to take a hit and the Attack have shown, even in the same game, that they stand up for their teammates as Hookey went after McGuire after he hit Cormier clean.

I do not understand why you care so much to be honest.

He's played so much this year that playing time isn't an issue I believe. Its not like he's in Midget. At some point he needs to take the step and with George, there may not be a better spot. He can get 15/20 games and see what he can become.

I'd like to think it wouldn't be an issue and that the player would have enough confidence in themselves to have the mindset of challenging the incumbent for the net but you never know. It's also his draft year and opportunity might be more of a factor than we think. I'm in alignment with you though that he makes the most sense as the back up next year.

Well, if its his draft year, no one gets drafted out of Jr B, so the OHL is his best opportunity for that.

I don't see the Attack trading him, nor do I think anyone would really give them much for him if he requests a trade.

I'm in agreement on that train of thought. It just seems modern players think differently at times.
