You are proving my point. Most of those players have already moved on to better hockey. If our player was as good as the 03s on your list, he would not be relegated the O.
And to be clear I think he is good and has the potential....he just needs to pay more attention to his defensive play. As a matter of fact he has the potential to be as good as or better then some you have listed.

I haven't checked in awhile but I'm not sure if there are any teams left that don't have there 3 '03 births and I believe there may be a couple with 4 still that means 60 give or take '03s in the league and if rules allowed more there would be lots. An '03 playing in the league doesn't mean there not good players. If he was put on the trade wire there would be a # of teams making a move guarenteed.

2nd round pick and two 3rd round picks for 04 D Budnick is probably a pretty good indicator for what it's going to cost to get the D upgrade Owen Sound is looking for.

Wonder if that voids any money owed to Walters as it would seem he was fired with cause. If there was some morality clause in his contract that could be an out financially.

Correct he can't collect anything as he's suspended and his contract is void. The Attack don't owe him anything

His employment was terminated several weeks ago. Not yesterday.

The issue of payment is between employer and employee.

Personally, I think Jordan is our best defensive defenseman while Petrovski is the most well rounded. Petrovski, for me at least, has really elevated his game this season.

What do you think is realistic in terms of acquisition cost? Attack certainly won't win a bidding war. As much as I think Smith is a player that would definitely fit a DeGray mold they likely end up looking else where if the price is significantly higher than Budnick.
