Turnover by our veteran in OT due to his lax a daisy pass could have cost us the game. Good to hear about BarlowAttack picked up a big two points tonight. Far too many turnovers for my liking but a win is a win.
Some roster notes post game from Coach Rumble:
Petrovsky leaves for the WJC tournament Sunday
Barlow is out until after Christmas, hopefully back skating next week
And what veteran are you speaking of??? Just say the # my man. He ain't reading this and if he is he should have the intestinal fortitude to get over you saying he is lazy. I am pretty sure he knows he is and he don't give a......that's why he plays the way he does, all about him 90% of the time. It is too bad cause he is a great offensive Dman, and could improve even more. I have seen improvement from him, but there are those plays like last night in OT that make you go "ugh, #9 again....."Turnover by our veteran in OT due to his lax a daisy pass could have cost us the game. I agree 100 %.That game felt way too similar to the Erie game last Sunday, no killer instinct with this group. Teams won't concede the game just because you're up a few goals. They need to play a full 60 minutes. It was all Sarnia in the third.
Has to be the worst officiated game I've seen live in a long time. Prison rules in the third apparently and probably the softest goalie interference call I've ever seen.
From a fan perspective that was an incredibly frustrating game to be at in person. The kids in the stands non stop blowing of the vuvuzela horns was obnoxious. Absolutely no need to be blowing the horn for a full 20 minutes period.
LOL you are so correct. As an offensive Dman he is good, but not a shut down or defensive Dman. Most guys can skate around him.. Hope this team can continue to move up the ladder. And what veteran are you speaking of??? Just say the # my man. Get better #39!

To bad he can't play defense and protect our net. It's great he has all those points, but he's also part of the issue with us giving up leads. If he stop been a show boater and the all about me syndrome, I would change my opinion. It's just my opinionPoints from Sam Sedley to date= 33
Points from all other Owen Sound defencemen this season= 35.
He's having one of the best offensive seasons by any defender in Attack history, and this team wouldn't be anywhere close to in the hunt without him. I'd say let's appreciate what he brings to the table, and recognize that in terms of issues the team has, #9 is pretty well at the bottom of that list.

He also floats around a +/- of zero. Last year he had 56 points and finished -6.Points from Sam Sedley to date= 33

+/- is the most over used stat....you get a minus or a plus for just being on the ice...a goal is something you get blamed for no matter .....saying he is a wash is way over the topHe also floats around a +/- of zero. Last year he had 56 points and finished -6.
It's a wash in the end with him.
If he could learn when to be offensive and when to be a true defender his value would double.
+/- isn't a be all end all stat but it is probably the most used stat. #9 is a +3 considering his icetime and the fact that he plays against many of the big guns and the fact that no + when Attack score on P.P I don't think he is as bad as some think. Yes the play in OT along with some other plays is frustrating but I honestly think some see a bad play then focus and magnify every bad play.To bad he can't play defense and protect our net. I think the thing that frustrates many with Sedley is you can see how good of a player he could be with more attention to detail in the D-zone. He's elite in the O-zone without question. Some minor adjustments in the D-zone with body positioning, boxing out, tying up sticks etc would go along way in rounding out his game. If he's serious about wanting to go pro he needs to work on that part of his game. I don't think it's unfair to point out those issues as they are 100% correctable and he's certainly capable of making the adjustments. A lot of people say he has elite hockey IQ, apply it at both ends of the rink.I know

And that makes no sense at all.....I stand corrected. He is not a wash.
Most NHL teams are keeping there top tier, 2003 born, prospects in the OHL.
They have the best record in the OHL the past 10 games. The offense has been dangerous and producing at both 5 on 5 and on the PP (one of if not the best in the OHL).Another close on eon Saturday, I agree with Brennan coming out, haven't seen anything from him in actually never. I think maybe they were ahowccasing him to see if they could get something for him. I also don't get the Nasi experiment. Healthy scratch one game, first line the next. He is deserving of a regular spot I feel. I wish that Stewart would get a chance up the lineup just for a game or two, of course that is only my opinion. I'll get heat for that. Although I do like Hookey and Cormier and Stewart tohether. I think he has been skating and playing well , andd why not throw the dog a bone. Anyway, moving up the standings, but I feel a trade to improve you guys is neccessary.
I stand corrected. He is not a wash.
