Likely adding to the problem is everyone feels that if they get in the playoffs there's a chance they could get to the mem cup because 2 teams get to go.
If you're in the western conference you still need to win your way in. If Saginaw gets to the finals then the winner of the eastern conference walks to the mem cup. It does definitely create a little more optimism I think if you're an eastern conference team but I don't think you can apply that to the west. It does potentially limit the players available from the east as those teams may be less inclined to move pieces.

Not a pretty win for Attack but still counts the same. George was fantastic and stole the game. I thought the fourth line had a strong game with a few really good offensive zone possession shifts that generated some scoring chances. Overall, the team spent a lot of time in the Dzone chasing pucks. Hopefully they can find another gear tomorrow.

Question now is how do they split the next two games with the goaltending? They like the George vs Kitchener matchup but do you run with him after facing so many pucks tonight? I imagine if George is good to go they give him the Rangers and Votary plays at home against the troops on Saturday.

Gotta ride the shutout. Excited to see him play tomorrow night.

Looks like we got our mojo working of late.

3-0 W tonight in Barrie
4-2 W in Flint
4-0 W in Sarnia
12-3 W in Windsor

Outscoring your opponents 23-5 in the last 4 games shows how much development this group has taken of late and how much this team has cleaned up their defensive side of the game. I'm sure there are aspects of the past games that every coach would like to see cleaned up on tonight the 6 times we played a man's down is something that isn't something you can do every night and get away with a perfect penalty-kill but when you're hot your hot and CG was in the zone tonight a 50 shot workload and a goose-egg handed to the Colts isn't something to sneeze at he's riding the momentum.

Now we turn our attention to tomorrow night and the red hot Rangers another tough outing but if this is what type effort we can expect moving into the weekend we can see another strong showing against a Midwest division foes.

Imo since he faced so many tonight and was exceptional votary prob gets Kitchener and then George is back for NB. Gotta think George in 24 hours facing so many shots vs barrie then Kitchener is tomorrow he will face a billion more. If he plays I’ll be shocked. Could have 100 total sog on him in the span of 24 hours

Rangers will not put on 50 shots. 25-30 I'm betting.

Wow, 50 save shutout for George. That has to be an Attack record, no??

What a game for him, and that's four in a row for the boys.
I can't remember the # but I'm pretty sure there have been some in the fifties. Actually probably not shutouts but over 50 saves.

He's been really good the last few outings. Two shutouts in his past three starts and was 31/33 against Flint in the other game. If he's feeling good tomorrow the net should be his.
Sorry to disappoint
We likely get 32 at home. Saturday .

Basically 1/3rd of the season played and I was taking a look at the Attack D group, specifically the point totals. The contributions from the back end are pretty thin after Sedley. As much as I think a stay at home type with some bite would be nice, we might want to look for somebody who can contribute a bit offensively instead. If there were any injury to Sedley it would be a massive impact to the offense, especially the PP1 group which has been excellent this season. It would probably be tough to find and add both types of Dmen in trade.

What a game! They survived the first period, started to settle into the game in the second period and special teams came up big in the third to take the lead and ultimately the win.

Votary needed a game like that. Not a great first goal but kept the damage to that one goal against. Really settled in and played a calm steady final 40 minutes. D did a nice job clearing lanes and blocking shots in support of their goaltender.

5 game streak and a fresh Carter George going tomorrow against North Bay. Keep the train rolling.

Remember when they left for this road trip and everyone was ready to throw in the towel?
Gotta love junior hockey! Let's keep it rolling tomorrow night at home.

Hmmm. I didn't think he even played that great, he looked pretty lost on some of those shots. Steady in the end though. However, OS defense ..great blocks.
Here's his stat line.
Oshawa goalie the only one in the league tonight with better Save % .
But youre right. The Rangers lost.
The Attack didnt win .

I might be pessimistic because some of the teams we played on the road trip were not over powering..but 5 wins in a row in this league is a very tough feat regardless of opponent and then adding in the fact they were on the road is absolutely amazing. Win or lose tomorrow I'm proud of what they have managed to string together and hope they can continue. Glad to eat crow on the throwing in the towel topic lol...In Carter we trust for the game tomorrow (I'd assume anyway).. I will say very nice win by Votary walking into the Aud and handing them their second loss on home ice ( Both to us) is no easy feat especially at the rate they have been winning. We'll done keep it going!!

Yes they do. It's a nice stat to be involved in lol and I like that we are the only ones to win at the Aud so far. May give them some worries if we find a way to play them at some point in the post season. Other teams will beat them it's just nice knowing we did it the first two times there
