Let's wait for all the songbirds to chime in. Maybe we can can all gather in the parking lot tomorrow and sing Kumbaya tomorrow before the game. We have a small window to make something happen and I'm convinced this coaching staff might be be biggest detriment over personelle

Sometimes the bounces go your way and sometimes they don't.

Tonight was a night that the bounces went Guelph's way. From the stats sheet and the highlights I think this was just one of those nights the team would care to forget and refocus tomorrow at home.

At the end of the day we lost by a single opportunity and that's something that can be learned from. We didn't get blown out of the game by an unrealistic score and we played a pretty disciplined road game for the most part.

Sometimes it comes back to puck luck, and Guelph had it tonight and we didn't. 24 hours from now the result to make a complete 180.

There's still 2 more games on the weekend and both at home including the rematch tomorrow night versus this very same Storm club. Let's see what happens when you spin the fundamentals of playing the game at home versus playing on the road around and see where the results fall.

I'm afraid this situation comes down to more than just bounces. This team started the season in a great position, but as the season wears on many other teams are getting better while we remain stagnant.
Our last 6 games have been against what would be considered inferior teams, that are all near the bottom of the standings. In those six games we have lost 4, won 1 in OT and only won 1 in regulation.
This team needs to grow and improve as the season moves along or the will continue to fall in the standings to teams that are improving and hungry for points.

I have been saying that all year but get torched for every negative comment or criticism. They play 25-30 mins per night. Explain to me like I am in kindergarten how that is deserved/earned? 6 actually had a great game but not when he was out there with 9.

People picking apart my comment about the 4 points of possible 6 all week when my main point of that post was the PP. LOL!

Hallelujah! Tonight they score two PP goals early with the first change all season with going two D men on the PP. Two goals early. Then what? Right back to the love affair with #9 and back to him being the QB with the slow ladder play and a few shorthanded chances against. Why???????? It's like this is a Novice team and his dad is the coach? What is seriously going on here with that?
I'm not saying I don't like either 6 or 9 all I'm saying is I'm not real comfortable with them out there together

Agreed...we are seeing patterns develop that fester after awhile. From the slow starts to games to the lackluster physical play in our own end, these issues will not simply correct themselves if we let them continue. They will only further stunt our growth as a team. We have a ton of talent here THIS year and should not wait around for "next year". I still believe the team is only a couple tinkers away from being a top team in the conference, but changes need to occur and maybe some tough decisions are to be made instead of accepting complacency and sixth place again. There is a tremendous oppourtunity for an exciting, up-tempo club here this season and the fans deserve that product on the ice every night.

Let's hope there is an energy in the Lum tonight after the tribute to the great Ray McKelvie that sparks the boys like Ray would love to see! Win this for Ray!!!

Sawyer's return should solve that problem. I'm not a fan of playing Seed and Sedley on the same pair either. I'm not expecting any changes to the D group on the roster but getting a healthy Sawyer back will be a big boost in my opinion. He was really solid to open the season.

Maybe just focus for next year lol, because this is brutal to watch right now. 29,25 would fetch a nice return of draft picks if we traded them. Some type of shake up needs to happen because the boys just don’t good at all lately. They aren’t firing the coach..

I am not one that likes to place too much emphasis on a single game, but today against Soo is a litmus test for this team. If we see the same effort we have the last two weeks since the infamous "we aren't going for it this season" comment by DD, then we will lose handily to a rested Soo team that was in the stands scouting us last night.

Now, the thing about Jr hockey is it can be turned around very quickly. If the boys WAKE UP and maybe hit a few guys and win some puck battles and most importantly PASS swiftly and on the tape, not just tap the puck in or deflect the puck softly, we have the talent to put these bad memories of the four Guelph games behind us.

This game is a biggie for sure...let's hope we get to cheer today instead of having to listen to every fan grumble expletives under their breath while exiting the Lum as occurred last night...trust me it was unanimous, even with the tried and tested Attack fans. People are not happy right now with this team, even with the new debit machines management, lol.

One word for today boys....HUSTLE...you got this...

Haha, nothing it was a reference to the fact I would like to see a quality product on the ice as well, that's all. Don't read into it too much. Trying to keep things light on here and positive vibes.

Win this one for Ray boys, we all know you can!

Well it's time for DD to put his coaching staff on notice or for the owners to put him on notice. Like I said months ago. But only now are people starting to make some of the comments I have been making all along. The interview with coach Hill last night and his comments to Greg Cowan say it all for me. Coach Hill says we have too much "soft skill" but those are the guys he continuously runs out there himself if he actually has any say at all?? And then actually said referring to Coach Walters "if things aren't going well he doesn't wait around for anybody. If you are not going tonight he will find guys who are going."

What?????????? That couldn't be more far from the truth. Please argue with me and tell me I am wrong. Such a cliche comment. If you paid attention at the games this weekend he only screams and hollers at the young guys every shift and nothing to the veteran "soft skill" guys despite numerous negative plays. This team has no toughness, no identity, no chemistry - not a single line or D pair has played together for more than a few games at most.

I purposely refrained from mentioning any players or numbers but coach Hill's comments are absurd and made me want to call "soft skill" players out as he referred to but appears to love!

I await the Kumbaya comments saying...well we got 1 out of 6 points. 3 in 3 is tough...well at least we might be on track for 30 wins...

The boys need to play the whole game like they did the last 10 min. Of the Soo game. Lots of intensity.

This Attack team is capable of playing with any team in the league if they play to their capabilities over a full 60 minutes. They can't expect to start slow, fall behind, and come back to win every night. This team chases games far too often because they don't start on time. This four game losing streak just proves the old adage of hard work beats skill when skill doesn't work hard. The team needs to make a commitment to play in the dirty areas of the rink. They have played on the perimeter far too often of late and need to work and earn the premium scoring opportunities by getting to the middle of the ice with more consistency.

This is the first true test of leadership for the young captain Barlow. The schedule isn't forgiving with tough opponents in London and Windsor coming up. The leaders need to step up and push the team through the slump. Playing a full 60 Friday night in London would be a start.

The one thing I've noticed a bit of late, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems teams are starting to change how they defend the Attack offense. Owen Sound doesn't really have any threats on the back end so it seems the opposition 5 man units are collapsing on the Attack forwards, giving a lot of two on one defending situations where the Attack D are mostly left undefended up top. They trap the Attack puck handler and create puck battles on the boards or just overwhelm and generate turnovers. Just curious if anybody else has noticed that or if I'm out to lunch?

This likely has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but the slump started after the boys were named again , to CHL top ten -HM

The Attack teams have typically deployed a more workman like approach, playing a blue collar lunch box style based on hard work rather than pure skill. I think they need to get back to that foundational approach. The skill will shine through if they put the effort in.

No need to panic.
The team is on pace to reach the 30 win mark. As long as they hit that, ownership will be happy.
I mean, if you want to complain to Paul, we all know where he sits. Just let us know, I want my popcorn out for the show ;)

I remember posting this sometime in early November I believe, the last time the same 3 guys where freaking out over a slot spot in the schedule.

Ryan McGill in the middle of the 15 game winning streak back in 2016 I believe. I ran into him at a local spot and he said the following.

'Your not nearly as good as you are at your best, and your not nearly as bad as you are at your worst'.

Last time I posted this i think they eventaully got points in 10 straight and won 8 or 9 of them.

Maybe not the best time to overreact, unless your looking for a reason to overreact or complain, then I guess its a perfect time. I don't see the point based on past results, but complain all you like.
